So, all of you have been very supportive. I haven't added much as alot is going on right now. Thanks for all the kindness. Just to update everyone, I am not unemployed. the reactions have happened for over a month strieght, I have been moved to one side, and the kid followed and just hung around and no one did anything to make things easier for me. I asked to move to a place that was secluded and was told it was not good for my career to make such a move to a safer spot.

Well after today and having my eyes swollen shut and having more problems breathing i ended up quitting. Not my finest hour but i did leave in quiet albeit frustrated dignity. My lawyer called it a constructed termination, I was forced to quit. So, now the fun begins. I am looking for work and figuring out how to take care of 2 kids and a wife, and just before christmas no less. yay me~!

That is the biggest bunch of bullshit I've ever heard. Getting a more secluded seat isn't good for your career? I hope you sue them blind.

Your story has to be the worst case I've ever heard of a company flat out not giving a shit about an employee, especially when a solution would not have been that difficult.

Although, I can't believe that you wouldn't tell the kid you were allergic to him. You wouldn't have had to mention anything about the pot, you could have said something to get him to stay away.

I did ask him at one point via email to not come by my desk anymore. He wears patchouli oil to cover up, and i told him that it was causing some problems for me. that's when he started hanging around more often.

I'd file a complaint for them making it a hostile work environment. You mentioned a problem and nothing was done. That creates a hostile work environment.

patchouli=hippie stoner fuck. You win by simply not being there. Being able to see and breathe FTW!

And being allergic to hippies, as a silver lining, would actually have an upside. You should put it on a t-shirt to lift your spirits: ALLERGIC TO HIPPIES.

After all is said and done (lawsuit-wise), I think that little stoner deserves some payback for not listening. After all, this whole mess is his fault. It's too bad you're allergic to the weed, that's gonna make it hard to plant on him and frame him with it.

Yep, thats pretty much what it was. My wife had a supervisor at one job do that to her. Changed her work hours at the last minute, forcing her have to cancel a class when it was too late to get her money back. Questioned her on every thing she did while on shift. Lots of other crap, until she finally gave in and quit.

I must have missed all of this. What happened?

I'm out of work at the moment too, trying and failing to find something (there's a thread about it), but I don't have to support anyone like you do. I think the thing is to not let it upset you. I'm worrying a lot, and it doesn't do your health much good to do that.

Mr Grimm, I have been having issues at work with someone who smokes canabis and my having reactions to it. so much so that i have been transported to emergency facilities a few times and have been threated by work for letting my manager know what was going on.

as an update, i just got back from the Allergist. apparently they can't do a strieght Canabis test in this state it is illegal. but, they can do a test on items that share the same protien as canabis. I am allergic to all of them they tested but raw oats, cuz they didn't test me for that, But, Hops, latex and Elm are the other items that share the same protiens as canabis and i am allergic to all of those. So the Allergy specialist said he would say that i am allergic to canabis

That's the most messed up thing... what is going on in this workplace of yours?! Then again, it doesn't sound all that surprising. But still... that bites. At least he did get fired.

What a clusterfark. Best of luck in the courts, man.

...y'know, it just pisses me off to no end. I swear there used to be a day when employers actually respected their employees. A day when things like loyalty and effort were good things....

    ::sigh::

He put a customer on hold, told he him was getting help on a technical issue, and got food instead, his call was being audited by a manager at the time and they fired him on the spot.

Not as far as I know, this day never existed. A good employer is like a good pimp and about as rare.

File for unemployment. you have an excellent case for getting it. That'll help take the holiday edge off.
