what would all you mac users recommend as a word processor for mac?
I use Microsoft Office. A good free alternative is still openoffice.org. (Yes, they do have a Mac version.)
My preference is OpenOffice.org, it's free, and can be found at OpenOffice.org. Not as nice I suppose as Microsoft Office, but then again I've never used MS Office. O does the job for me, though.
This. I've heard OpenOffice half-seriously described as an Office 98 clone, though it does read and output all current Microsoft file formats, as well as others. I've used it for years on windows, mac and linux and aside from a little buginess - remember it's free - it works great. Just save your work often.
text edit is surprisingly feature laden if you have a loot at it.
Separate names with a comma.
