Enough live action cgi movies based on cartoons. If they're going to adapt them into movies, then keep them as cartoons whether it be hand drawn or Pixar-like CGI animation.

It's just cool to see Woody get some love after being gone for so long.

I agree. Putting cartoon characters into live-action just looks stupid.

Basically everything I was going to say.

...I just remembered Speedy Gonzales is supposed to get this treatment soon, with added removal of "offensive material." Now I'm sad...

^ Evidently it involves George Lopez voicing Speedy.

I have no damn clue how that's supposed to work. And I don't want to know.

The article says it'll be a CG film, nothing about live action. Its save to assume it'll bee 100% animation at this point. I think they just referred to the two live action movies due to the new looks they gave those characters, which people didn't like.

Man, I love Woody heck I do that laugh of his back when I was a kid and sometimes I still do. But him having a CGI movie its great if done right, still I can only hope.

This is going to be so bad. The Yogi Bear movie sucked, the Smurfs movie also sucked and so will this.

If it's full CG, it might work. Kind of like those CG Roadrunner cartoons Cartoon Network has in their new Looney Toons. That new Tintin movie looks like it could be fairly decent too. Of course, that one isn't trying to "update" anything.

Live action? No, just no. If you're going to do a live action version of an old cartoon, do something that didn't involve talking animals. Jonny Quest is fare game. The dog on that was just a dog.

    STOP! STOP! STOP IT!

Seriously. I've had enough. We need 2D animation back. We get a throwback every once in a while, but it needs to be a standard again. It's like if everyone stopped painting pictures because they learned how to make sculptures. They are different media, and every traditional animated character does not need to be remade in 3D. I'm getting sick and tired of it.
