We will see what happens. The arrow pilot was pretty good, if they stick to the classic version and don't try to change things it could work well.

Hope Neal McDonough is in Arrow soon. Speaking of Pilots, Allan Heinberg is joing the show as a Writer.

I hope this turns out to be a faithful interpretation of Wonder Woman, the previous version sort of left a bad taste in my mouth.

No faith if they did this. It won't adapt to younger years as well as Smallville did.

With a TV series, the best thing to do would be bring back the Diana Prince identity. Also go with the stranger in a strange land aspect. Diana would get away with her reactions by everyone considering her a nerd. They could also say she bases her persona on a character from a TV series. Something where she'd view our culture with awe and trying to emulate what she sees. With wonder woman, you want the wild warrior with little concept of the culture she's protecting. It would also be partly because of how much of her real personality she has to hide as Diana. So as Wonder Woman she'd be breaking lose.

Whatever they do, it won't be worse than the last attempt.

Hopefully it'll be more tolerable than the pilot for NBC.

If it was, it would have to be on purpose. One attempt that bad can be an accident. A second attempt that bad has to be enemy action. Deliberate sabotage.

I'm taking a zero faith approach to this. The last 'effort', if you could call it that, was an appalling bastardization of Wonder Woman who's sole redeeming feature was that it was never broadcast. I want this to work, I really do, but if this turns out anything like Smallville, I feel I personally will not enjoy it. Might work for getting her off the ground for the general public though.

But the new one is being run by someone who loves the Lynda Carter show. So that, I think, is a positive sign.

Yes the thing to remember is the writer of the new pilot actually wrote for the comics.

There is much truth in this. That NBC pilot was something that MST3K would've passed on for being too easy a mark.

That said, I still don't have much faith in this. Smallville ended up wearing on me and I dropped it until the last season. Arrow isn't doing much for me.
