http://www.ksn.com/news/local/16611691.html WICHITA, Kansas, March 12, 2008 (AP) - A 35-year-old woman who apparently spent two years in her boyfriend's bathroom in Ness City had become stuck to the toilet seat. Ness County Sheriff Bryan Whipple said today that she was physically stuck to the toilet seat by her body, adding that it appeared her body fat had grown attached to the seat. Whipple said authorities plan to present their report to the county attorney later today to see if any charges should be filed against her 36-year-old boyfriend. The woman is listed in fair condition at a Wichita hospital. Whipple said the boyfriend called police on February 27th to report that "there was something wrong with his girlfriend," never explaining why it took him two years to call. He said the boyfriend had brought the woman food and water during the two years and told investigators he asked her daily to come out of the bathroom, but she would not. She refused emergency medical services but was finally convinced that she needed to be checked out. She was taken to a hospital in Wichita, where she has refused to cooperate with medical providers or investigators. A neighbor tells the AP that he had known the woman since she was a child but said he had not seen her for at least six years. He said she had a tough childhood after her mother died at a young age and apparently was usually kept inside the house as she grew up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- WTF?! That's all I can say about this.
And at no point was the fact that she wouldn't leave the bathroom a sign that something was wrong, or that she was nuts? THAT'S commitment.
What makes people do these things? Is she out of her mind? I'd like to meet these people, just so I can talk some sense into them.
That's pretty messed up right there. While convenient, what glorious toilet is comfortable even after an hour or two, let alone two years? Yikes.
I can honestly say I feel sad for her. This is something that should have been addressed 23 months and 28 days ago. Her boyfriend is an asshole for not helping her. I genuinly feel sorry for her. She is odviously overweight and already had issues. He should have done more to help her. And no matter what anyone says, until you have walked a mile in someone in her conditions shoes, you shouldnt say anything negative about her. This is truely tragic. I once dated a girl that was severely obese. But she was a loving careing woman. She was reclusive spending allher time online or asleep. It got to the point that I had to leave because she simply refused to bathe, clean up after herself, or other simple tasks. She never went anywhere either. But as for this woman, I hope she recovers mentally.
Man, I had to click on this thread thanks to it's title, and thought "This story has to be the most rediculous thing or I'm gonna be dissapointed." I wasn't dissapointed.
