I don't know if this is TF, Zoids, or something else, but I was following Might Gaine's instructions on how to look up protos on the Japanese Patent Office site, and came across this. Basically a motorcycle with a wolf's head that can transform (pretty weak transformation) into a full wolf. Not very impressive, but on a slow news day it's worth taking a look at.

Sorry about the link not working. Here's instructions for doing it the long way (courtesy of Might Gaine):

Go to this web site: http://www6.ipdl.ncipi.go.jp/Isyou/ikta.ipdl?N0000=117

*In the first text input box, copy and paste this string of Kanji: 形態変化玩具

*Press the submit button in the lower left. The page will reload.

*Click on the submit button to the right of the submit button you just clicked on.

*A list of numbers will appear. The newest stuff (Classics, Cybertron, etc.) will be at the top. The older stuff (Transmetals II, RID, etc.) will be at the bottom.

*Click on the numbers to bring up the individual pages for the Transformers patents. Use the drop-down menu on the upper right of the screen to navigate through the pictures.

The item in question ends with number 1254734. And Cast is probably right, it really has more of a Zoids feel to it.
