I know its like what? 9 episodes since we got Dreadwing?. Then ever since people are complaining that theres no new characters. I even started to wine that we weren't getting any. But you guys realize this?

We'll we got Dreadwing. In the desricption it said a legendary Autobot would come to earth and that he would be new. And did that happen? So thats one character.

Next is Vogel. He's the new human. So one new human.

Hardshell and who ever the other named Insecticon was. I know their repaints but still. Thats sort of three Decepticons. Theres just no autobots.

I heard that people where saying that we might get something like nest. So? Why not use the army soldier model and paint it black and grey? Why not use the army tanks and helicopters as a repaint?

Also theres the museum guard. Why not use a model repaint of him? He was only used once. Maybe he could be fowlers assistant.

These are only ideas, so there not supposed to be like the other threads, so PLEASE don't leave negative comments. Lets try and keep this a clean thread. I will.

Much as I'd say you need to be more careful about what threads you put in I do also agree with you on the whole we need new characters now thing. I mean yes we need new ones we get it but I think we've gotten the message by now.

Shockwave is hopefully a start of many new ones to come.

 

Let me break this down for you;

First off, that sentence is contradictory. Dreadwing is NOT a "legendary Autobot", he's blatantly a Decepticon. Granted, it's kind of obvious that he's being played up to potentially switch sides, but right now he's still a bad guy.

And his significance to the ongoing plot is...?

I don't think there was another named insecticon. I'll give you hardshell, but this late into S2 and him only being the second of two new Decepticons does not bode well.

You seem to have a very large misconception about the "new characters" thing. Nobody gives a damn about the minor human characters, the problem is that it's been two seasons and we've only gotten ONE new Autobot who hasn't been dead when they get first mentioned on the show. ONE. And Wheeljack is barely even a regular right now, so in essence it's like the writers are trying desperately to NOT change the Autobot lineup in any way, while the Decepticons have gotten some new people in and kicked Screamer out. Every single other TF series I can think of has introduced at least a couple new Autobots (or equivalent) at this point in their Season 2's, even if some of them weren't constant regulars (I.E. Animated Ultra Magnus, Jazz, and Sentinel)

 

I want "new Autobots" more so than "new characters." We've gotten enough new Decepticons. And I'm not going to give much of a crap for one human character who shows up in an episode. So no, I will not "stop with the new character thing." Because I need new characters.

On topic, I'm happy with the characters we've been introduced to so far. I personally prefer Decepticons so I'm good with that. I'm intrigued to see what other Autobots might show up, but I'm not too worried about it. I like the whole concept of the small team holding it's own against the ravening horde, so to speak.

I'd personally like to see either Ironhide or Prowl show up, but I'm good for now.

I'm happy with the characters on the show myself.  

However I'm really hoping that the Dinobots show up later on but Shockwave's hopefully a foreshadowing of them arriving.  

 

One can only hope. And hopefully their origin will be along the lines of the Marvel G1 Dinobots, because I really can't see the Sunbow version working at all (and there would be blood in the forum if they did do it that way!).

 

So, this has nothing to do with me. And no bright sides for me, either.

Acutally in FOC and in the alinged countunutiy they are pretty much like their Marvel versions so it'svery likely they'll go for that route.

As for the origin they'll likely go with the FOC origins.
