I've never been to one but is anybody going to the LA one and getting this http://wizarduniverse.stores.yahoo.net/wwla07wcwpvip.html package? That's a whole helluva lotta stuff but that's one whole helluva lotta money for a convention haha...

I'm just wondering if it's worth the price even though I don't plan on hittin it up.

I got to the Chicago show every year, but would never drop that much on it

I was reading that, and I was all, like, 'damn, this is a lot of cool stuff. I'd drop a few hundred on something like that,' and then I got to the actual price.

    No way, Jose.

It's all friggin Civil war varient covers anyway. even if they were all transformers covers, i woudn't want to go. 25 !!!! civil war varient covers, to only 4 different comics

no wonder the comic industry is dying.

    WOW.
    That is just STUPID expensive.

Now I am such a geek as is that I might drop that kind of cash, but add the flights and/or hotels + spending money? It would be twice that amount.

Only thing I even spend close to that money on is BotCon , and that is because the most awesome people are there. ;)

Of all the things that could be problematic to the comics industry, I personally think this really isn't high on the list.

It's a little hard to compare. Of that package the only thing that I could think of as being very distinctive and potentially going for crazy prices on eBay would be the Spider-Man bust, and charitably, the Steve McNiven headsketched comic and CGC things (but I'm not really sure considering there's still a high chance of post-2000 comics getting 9.8 grades--signature series maybe, but still..), so I really doubt there are that many complaining about this price compared to Botcon's since I doubt they care as much (WWLA isn't really as big as Wizard World Chicago, at any rate).

    You got it.

I'll also be heading up there again for the Taste of Chicago, the weekend following the 4th (which is the final weekend I believe).
