TF was a backup for me after GoBots and Voltron went away. When TF went away back in the 1990s, I latched onto video games. Don't know what I'd do now that video games are so blockbuster/grimdark though.

For it will be probably be:

    1. Comic book figures (Marvel and DC)
    2. Star Wars
    3. Gundam
    4. Gaming
    5. Comics

Tbh I'm almost done with 1, 2 and probably 3...but I think going forward I'll still be collecting 1.

As Hasbro and Mattel may give us updates on certain figures. Example, I've still yet to find a satisfactory Spider-man figure.

Star Wars, TMNT, and Gi Joe. Sooooo many figures so little space for it all. Heck Action Fleet and Mini Mutants would probably keep me busy for quite some time.

Without Transformers I might've never gotten into the whole giant robot genre and through it other Japanese things like tokusatsu.

I'd probably be into something like TMNT since it was the hot thing when I got into TF and without TF I probably would've gotten into it too.

Without Transformers? I could crank mucho dinieros into restoring a different type of Japanese machine from the Eighties, my first motorbike, an '82 Suzuki GS750e. I'd probably buy a six cylinder bike as well, a BMW GT1600, Honda CBX 1000, Benelli Sei 900 or if fuel consumption wasn't an issue, the beastly Kawasaki Z1300. Or a decked out Ural.

And as always, more books, more sushi, more music and musical instruments, more camping and fishing, and if I ever chance to meet a nice science based atheist woman who isn't already taken, then dating again? In that case I'd better add new clothes to the list and get Grandpa's Rolex fixed up. ;)

With no TF's then I'd probably just stick with my model car collection which I had before I knew Transformers existed. I might would even get into collecting Star Wars or back into Power Rangers since I'd have available space.. maybe.

I collect tons of stuff so no Transformers is not a big deal to me. I'm actually pretty bored with Transformers and pretty much done with what I want from them.

Right now, I'm mostly on Star Wars, Macross and Marvel. Comic books are always #1.

After Transformers, my next biggest toy obsessions are Star Wars, GI*JOE, Masters of the Universe, M.A.S.K., Macross/Robotech, DC Universe Classics, and a gazillion other toy lines from the 80's. So without Transformers, I'd still have plenty to keep me busy.

Mostly Star Wars and Batman... since that's what I currently collect, besides TFs.

Toy-wise, just Star Wars. I've detoxed off of a lot of other lines recently. I'm trying to keep it simple.

I think I liked Robotech more than Transformers as a kid so I've always been interested in the toys from Macross etc. Note that I said toys not fandom - those people are fucking crazy.

That's a very fair point. TBH I mostly stay out of the TF-related boards.

    This, most likely.
I was seriously into GW stuff a few years back (Tyranid, Chaos Marines, Dark Eldar, Inquisitor, Mordheim, Kill Team...), but dropped it when I needed to consolidate funds.
The only real issue is that GW prices make HasTak prices seem inconsequential.
