With Hercules and Green Giant now out, do we really need an official MP Devastator?

Given such a set would have to meet a reasonable price point (by MP standards) and certain safety standards, I wonder if Takara would be able to equal or top the engineering and detailing seen on Hercules and Green Giant or if too many sacrifices would need to me made...

I'm in for an official 100% 6 figure ( Sideswipe sized ) MP Devastator.

...do you have the FOC Bruticus? have you compared it to the source material?

combiner-wise, they have a lot of road to cover to even get on equal footing with 3rd parties.

It's precious that you think an experimental set of $15 figures bears any indication on how a Masterpiece figure will shape up.

on this, I base my views on what I got.
and what I got is, as you put it, an experimental set of 15$ figures.

I'd be 100% in. As they would be the most G1 accurate version of Devy.

Personally I'd prefer Hasbro do an official Classic-verse Devestator for those of us to stubborn to jump on the Giant/Hercules band wagon.

Yep. They missed their own boat. I know there's some folks out there that have Herc, Yellow Giant and Green Giant, but the majority of us are likely to just pick one and stick with it.

Of course there's always some guys with blind faith in Hasbro that will hold off forever waiting for an official Devs but not enough to make a profit.

I'd settle for a mass released generations G-1 styled Devestator. with Six deluxe sized Constructicons. that cost under $80 USA hasbro prices.

Depends on quality and price. But I doubt Takara would give us something like an MP Devy this early in the game.

I don't need a "masterpiece" anything. Overpriced and oversized. Give me a G1 Legends Devastator!

Yes! The Legends movie devy was really sweet, so a G1 Legends version makes total sense. And while we're at it, I vote for scramble-city HasTak combiners with Legend limbs and Commander torso's

Giant and Hercules are Classics. A MP Devy would be G1.

Yes, we do need one. Like we needed a Classics Devastator even though we got a Bayverse one before which we got even though we got a Superlink one before and so on.

Seeing how cool the 3P Classics Devastators are, I can't even imagine how awesome an official MP one would be. Don't get me wrong, I love 3P figures and I think some of these companies are really good at what they're doing but in all honesty, they're all way behind what Takara can do (yes, I know, FOC Bruticus sucks but should I mention that this figure was designed to be cheap, safe and simple enough to fit in a toyline made for children? Just like FOC Optimus was, yet we have things like MP-10).

I would buy an MP Devy, if only for the sheer size.

Herc and now Giant are available for us to choose. Dev's done in my book. Hasbro need not apply.
