Man, the designs for Titans Return are amazing, but the plastic tolerances, and construction are just a mess.

 

Couldn't agree more. Nothing tabs in on my Galvatron. My hardhead has loose elbows, most Skullcruncher legs are a mess, some head connections are wobbly. I haven't had time to crack open my Blaster yet.

 

Stevens Point Target has a couple of Rewinds and a few Stripes as of last night (been too busy to post). I grabbed the 1 Wheelie they had left. Also have some wave 1 Titan Masters.

 

So not a sighting(well not of retail toys anyhow) per se, but I finally got to meet Pimpimus on Saturday after knowing each other through the boards for the last 14 years or so!

Back on topic, can't wait to be done with the moving project so I can get back out there and snag any TR stuff I see. No deluxes until Wave 2(I'll be getting Takara Blurr and Scourge), but Galvatron, Sentinel Prime, Blaster, Prime, and Fort Max will be mine!

 

No kidding. Who would have thought we had a mutual friend.

Madison TRU restocked on Fort Max. Also had a bunch of the TR legends figures. Still some MP BB left too.

 

Milwaukee 27th st TRU had Galvatron today. I picked him up. 1 each of the TR deluxes as well, 3 Sentinels.

On the RID front I saw that deluxe Starscream and Paralon scorponok.

 

TR Prime and Blaster are at TRU in Madison, along with the Xmen Marvel Legends. Get them while they're hot.

 

Wausau Walmart had 3 full cases of TR Wave 1 deluxes and 1 case of voyagers. I picked up 1 Skullsmasher and 1 Hardhead. Let the rest, just looking to get the actual headmasters in this line.

Both of my figures have good joints and they're not a mess. Blessed to get that since that's been the majority of the complaints.

 

Curious if anyone local has been collecting any of the 3rd Party Masterpiece scale stuff, and if you have any recommendations? I'm considering one of the 2 new Megatron's, but I'm not sure. Apollyon has been... problematic. He is also a pain to animate in Stop-motion, as his hips do not want to stay together. Was curious if anyone has the 3rd party jazz or mirage or any of the rest of the G1 cast? ToyWorld Devastator is amazing, by the way. He towers over the Combiner wars Devastator...

 

On the Megatron front, it seems to be that all of the praise is directed towards Maketoys Despotron. The biggest thing against Mightron is just all of the back kibble and lack of waist articulation. I've largely gotten out of the Masterpiece figs, but if I do go with a Megatron it will probably be Despotron. All previous version of Megs all seemed too finicky to transform.

 

Yeah, I'm hoping someone will do a side by side comparison between the 2 new ones. I'm sure it will happen sooner or later. The Mightron looks a little more Cartoon accurate though (at least from the front hehe), but I am liking the multiple faces with Despotron. Personally, I'm going more the other way, I'm pretty much only buying "masterpiece" figures now.

 

Just throwing this out there. If anyone locally would happen to come across a Marvel Legends Deadpool that they didn't want, I would be eternally grateful if they could pick it up for me. I'd pick it up and pay you back immediately. I've been searching hard for him the last couple weeks and I'm tired of coming up empty-handed. The last two days I've come across a fresh stocking of the X-Men Legends at Targets, only to have the Deadpool as the only figure not there.

 

I'm looking for him, too. If I see a couple, I'll grab extra and let you know.

 

Ive seen 2 extra ones over the last 2 weeks. Both are probably gone by now, but Ill keep an eye out.

Two extras!!! Holy crap. That's the most I've heard of any one person finding. I've been hitting every single Walmart, Target, Walgreen's, and TRU I come across. A big fat nothing.

 

Found a Deadpool at the Target in Fond du Lac! Was just passing through so I stopped there to humor myself. The case was sitting on a cart waiting to be stocked. Pulled him fresh from the case. Glad to have finally found him. Thanks to anyone that may have looked for me.

 

Madison TRU has a shitload of wave 1 TR deluxes. They also have a few Galvatrons, an army of Sentinel Primes and a leader Prime. I also saw RiD Starscream and that exclusive two pack with the stasis pod.
