    Which do you like better?

Been watching American Ninja Warrior lately. Crazy insane obstacle course. Ridiculously difficult. Out of thousands of people, something like only 3 people have ever finished it. But the show sucks me in! It's my new addiction.
Anyway, I got to thinking about it. I've seen Wipeout a few times, but I don't normally stick around for a whole episode. I might catch a few minutes of each obstacle, but it's nothing that grips me. The two hosts constantly make lame jokes, often ripping on the contestants themselves. The obstacles all seemed designed to make certain you fall at some point. I don't think I've ever seen anyone make it through without falling once. Wipeout is definitely trying to play up the laughs.

Ninja Warrior, Women of Ninja Warrior, & American Ninja Warrior are still insanely hard obstacle courses, but it is possible to get through them perfectly without ever falling. The obstacles are serious challenges, but they're not designed to make you look ridiculous. When somebody falls, the reaction I hear is, "Ohhh!" not, "HaHAHHA!" Well . . . most of the time. ;)  The hosts aren't ripping on everyone or spewing a stream of awful jokes. They're just, get this, commenting on the action. Like commentators! It's a fun show and despite the low success rate, I still love to watch.

    Ninja Warrior.

That's like asking "Would you rather buy an actual Transformer or a 'Super Transformable'"

    Wipeout.

The hosts ripping on the contestants is the best part, besides the countless hilarious fails on the course.

    I like both

Ninja Warrior is something I think everyone who does it, only does it cause they want to see how good they are at this kind of thing, well except for like the first 20 who are more than likely there just to promote themselves or feel like acting like utter morons.

Wipeout is always fun to watch, you get the ooohs and ahhs but you also get the laughs at how distracted the contestants can get.

Wipeout basically is the US version of MXC only there's a little more seriousness to it.

Hmmm...if I was comparing Ninja Warrior with Total Wipeout (which is our British version) i'd say Ninja Warrior because Stuart Hall is just hilarious whereas Richard Hammond makes me cringe...but if I was comparing to Wipeout, i'd have to go with Wipeout because I just find your commentators great...also you have way better contestants (in that there are more fat ones, no offence) and better obstacles
Oh.. but MXC (called Takeshi's Castle here) is far superior to both

Hard to compare. Both are obstacle course shows, but Ninja Warrior is all about the physical prowess of the contestants and played straight, while Wipeout features average joes and is done almost comletely for laughs.

But as said MXC is absolutley hilarious and trumps both.

Ninja warrior and women of nija warrior, have seen bits of Total Wipeout (as it's known in the UK) and it can just GTFOut! Haven't seen American Ninja Warrior, and wouldn't want to to be honest. Ninjas were in Japan so that's where it should be and the courses are harder there.

The object of American Ninja Warrior is to get the top 10 best Americans and then send them to Japan to do the real thing.

    Jill is superbly hot.

And John Henson makes me laugh.

    Wipeout for me.

Never seen Ninja Warrior, so I've gotta go with Wipeout.

Though it sucks that Jill is done after the summer season. :(

It's too bad that Jill won't be back for next season as she's going back to her acting career. She's getting replaced by Vanessa Minnillo, wife of Nick Lachey.

I like Ninja Warriors. Made me wish I was 15 years younger so I can compete in the event just once.

Do you guys not see who competes in Ninja Warrior. You could be a sumo wrestler and they'd probably let you compete.

But you probably wouldn't make it that far being the size of a sumo wrestler.
