See I like the barrelroll also, but on the PSP I could pull it off easier because the distance from left to right on the analog nub is shorter than on the analog stick, so sometimes I end up losing control because my ship literally has to go left and right before rolling, so when I hit that stride I end up hitting a wall.

Have you guys noticed some of the cool shit in the background? Ship's landing on pads, trains passing by, traffic in the background? Smang looking out a window?

Are you driving with your eyes open, or are you, like, using the Force?

    Nice picture. I'm doing both.

When I get back into town I want to try playing it with motion controls. I've been playing a few Iphone racing games that require tilting the phone so I want to see if my newly aquired skills will transfer to Wipeout. It's cool that they have a control scheme that allows for partial motion controls.

Speaking of The Force. The world wants you to update your LBP thread. Don't think I don't see you on the LBP beta.

Beverly Hills Cop II defense force assemble!

And there's nothing new to report, I have a friend over all weekend and I just unlocked the level creator so we're gonna fuck around in that I guess. Plus there's a fucking tutorial for every tool, which is hella annoying.

Very, but at the same time it's about as deep as you could want it to be. You just need a good method about it, doing it in very deliberate layers and stuff.

Good call on listening to Muse, Windy. Their music is just weird enough to work with the futuristic vibe. I'm tempted to try the whole thing with nachos.

I hear voice chat works online too. I might finally get to here the sexy accents of smang and twist.

Recommended tunes: Muse, for sure, and Black Lab technologies (New Player, Ghost in the Machine). I also have Rush (Subdivisions). I can't wait to play with you guys. I'll be practicing on my PSP this weekend.

A very cool touch is how when you release the X button to take a tight turn, then press the gas again you hear a low POW as the afterburners kick in again.

I noticed that last night. It was poppin' behind me in my surround and I was like "WTH?"

Also, my one complaint. NO ATRAC support in custom soundtracks? WTF? :mad

The ship in the Zone races looks sexy.

No, this isn't a flamewar starter, but I would love to see a Mass Effect built on the PS3 from the ground up. The Zone ship reminded me of the Normandy, but seeing how slick and smooth it looked up close and in hi-res made me wonder how nice Shepard's ship would look with that detail behind it.

I hoped on this morning and saw smang playing. So I invited him to race...

He quit and play R&C TOD instead. :(
