OK so I need the opinion of the trusted masses!

Main question: Cab on top, or cab in front?
Check out the pics to see the difference.

So far I've cut up a Countdown, Cyb. Def. Red Alert (same mold, duh), and two Cyb. Mudflaps. LOL. And I know it looks simple, but I totally underestimated the amount of hours of work this takes.

No where near done. And I've got a Voyager-class Scrapper up next. And then 4 others.... :D

Wow - I would have never thought of doing that. That is a big ass Constructicon. Are you making two different versions at the same time..? Regardless, I like the one with the off-side cabin. The one on top makes the vehicle mode look too crowded.

    Cabin on front!

You can't have a single compartment to drive and operate, RID version's madness not withstanding :)

    1. please make this a piece of devastator

    2. please make this devastator NOT a partsformer (time for something a little more functional)

    3. please use a modded ROTF longhaul for this devastator (how can you say no?

    4. i am, in fact, implying and assuming that you ARE making a big ass devastator

Not really two versions, its just that I first mounted the Mudflap cabin to the top, and then I decided it might look better if I integrated it into the front. Of course, the epoxy had long since cured. Haha. So I did a second version of the front section for real hands-on comparison.

    1. Yes.

    2. Absolutely will try my best, there will be a lot of similarity to G1 Devs parts. Waist/thighs, forearms/hands, head & chestplate and thats it. But I will attempt to integrate them somehow...perhaps Long Haul has a trailer or something?

    3. Yes. In fact that one doesn't need much modding so far! Just the connection stuff.

    4. HELL YES.

LOVE the size of the thing, and what it implies for a Devastator to come...

I'm feeling mixed about this as Hook though. The vehicle melding is interesting, but doesn't convey a crane tractor in the normal recognizable sense. As a slightly futuristic/industrial military work vehicle, it's actually kind of cool, but it's definitely an odd style.

Oh, and asymmetrical front cab, all the way! :)

Haha yeah thats why I put the 'looks like shit' option, LOL. I figured I'd just go with the flow and 'armor-up' these guys... The goal is to try to deviate a bit towards the military/futuristic/mad max(?) style with all of them, without losing the sense that they are indeed still Constructicons.

    G1-inspired, ROTF/Universe hybrid.... :D

WOW! This is an awesome idea. I've always hated this mold. So much so that I was angry with Hasbro for wasting resources on it. Now I wanna run out and get two. It looks fantastic. And I like the armored/military look, it'll open up a lot of options later on. If I didn't already have 4/5 projects cluttering up my desk I would do just that. I vote cab in front and can't wait to see more.

I love that fusion idea, it really does help Hook look reflective of what Devastator is supposed to be, a mean green crushing machine. It'd be great if you manage to put that in all the components.
Awesome. Definately cabin in the front.
    Again, awesome.

    Thanks!

Having a harder time dealing with the Bonecrusher problem. ROTF Rampage is just too small. I'm gonna do something like this to get it up to size.
