I decided I wanted to make a box for my original Thrust to go with the rest of my reissues. I have it pretty much finished minus some little tweaking. The only problem is I cannot quite seem to figure out how to do the yellow burst in the background. I was wondering if any of you photoshop gurus could help me out? Any help is appreciated. Here is what I have so far.
Two things: 1: Thrust's left upper shoulder thingy (jet fanatics, what is that thing called?) is cut off, you may want to find a new image. 2: I never realized how happy Thrust looks in the G1 box art image! He almost looks like a Muppet!
You mean like this? http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=112765 I did it in Photoshop; a couple of layers, with radial gradient fill. I can try & put up a file with just those layers in it, if it'd help.
The yellow burst looks too big, it should act like a spotlight. I researched that part a bit as I worked on my devastator giftset box: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=111264
Thanks for the comments and help. Today I received the first of two extra seeker boxes for the project. Here is how it turned out. I brought the spotlight in a little bit. Looking at it now I probably should have done a little bit more. I also changed to the Dreamwave art to match the later reissues. I have another box on the way for Ramjet.
