I bought the ROTF Superion for much the same reason a lot of people did...the FP set.
However, I have put off buying it in lieu of some custom projects I'm working on.
I used my ROTF Superion for parts to make a custom devastator....but I recently bought a couple TF lots for parts and single interesting TFs that happened to have some Superion parts in them.
So, I took some of the parts from my ROTF Superion, and parts from the various TFs that I have bought and rebuilt a new and improved Superion.
My Gundam parts box supplied the arms.
These are some rough pics...as I think I am going to repaint and put some serious weaponry on this guy.
    Thanks for looking.

WIN. Really love how you incorporated the arms. Oh yeah, can't wait to see this painted and completed. I actually find myself liking the transformation of the plane arms to accomadate the new arms, usually the nosecones are pointed up? (I don't own this mold yet though Energon Superion is on his way, just using my hazy memory.) With the planes like that, actually gives him so bulk, those new arms will pack a PAUNCH!

I borrowed the transformation idea from SMOG...(thanks man!)
But rather than have the tiny arms that he does, I decided to use the legs from my old shining gundam and apply my radicon skillz to have them clip over the existing arms.
I have changed the face to the ROTF silver version with the blue side from energon.
Don't suppose anyone has an extra visor from their FP set that they want to spare?

Oh... hey! That IS my arm/shoulder configuration! :D

Thanks for the nod... and congrats on the arms. Much better than the tiny vestigial arms on mine. I was planning on improvising my own FP-style upgrade pieces, but was really stuck on what to use for the arms. Using Gundam legs was BRILLIANT! I'm sure I have some of those kicking around in my parts boxes! :)

Can you show us how you made the arms attach? Also, any plans to make those arms integrate into Silverbolt's transformation, like the FP set does?

I'm going to make them into cannons for silverbolt i think.
I am playing with some different configurations right now and moving some stuff around.
    I'll post more pics later.
Now I want to do up a nexus maximus...just need a couple more TFs...
Found some more gundam legs that look very tank like.

This thread has been dead for 4 years. I doubt it will be finished.
