I really love this figure. I was even fine with the colorscheme. But as I grew less enamored with it, I decided to change it up a little. So, armed with only a silver sharpie, I made this:

I would've continued, but my silver sharpie stopped working, hence why it is a WIP. Once I get a new one, I'm going to finish coloring the robot mode, then work on alt mode. LMK what you guys think. :D

(Special thanks to Mushroom Prime and Superquad7 for being my inspirations on this project and for the advice. :D )

    Dang!
That´s exactly what I want to do with him when I get voy Megs but I would paint him complete in a iron-thingy-color-scheme ;)

I'm planning to do something similar. Where there was once silver before I painted it (besides the chest and head), I'm going to add copper to give him that rusty look he had in the movie.

    Do it, he's great. :D

I did the same thing too (need to get back to work on it...)! Great minds think alike :D

One problem, though, is the softer plastic on his gimp hand and blade arm - the Sharpie won't adhere to it as well as it does on hard plastic. If you touch it, it will still be sticky and sort of rub off, even after a long period of time. However, as a display piece, I don't think it will be much of a problem if you don't really play with it too much.

Good luck with the rest of Megatron!

I like that. It isn't spectacular. But it stands out amazingly. Nice job. :thumb
