ROTF Voyager Ironhide - Completed One thing that bugged the hell out of me was how the feet cannot stay flat footed. I've decided to cut it, add some gundam joints and polycaps. Alt mode does not suffer that much with the apparent gap from the cutting, but since he is for display most of the time, he will be in bot mode most of the time. And one last thing, Ironhide needs no stinking holes on the hands. He has 2 MOFO BFGs. That is good enough. The hands are also modded with the wrist guard from the original hands. Still have not painted it yet. will get around doing it later. UPDATED: Painting done. Optimus : "My weapons specialist, Ironhide" Ironhide : "Do you feel lucky, punk?" Sam: "Gulp!"
Nope, did nothing to it. thanks! Thanks, Big_H! Surprisingly this Ironhide's joints are tougher and tighter than my Premium one. All in all a good purchase and with a little bit of mod and paint job, it goes a long way.
I would like to know too. Please provide more information reguarding these mods you did to the feet. Can you show better pictures of these Gundam joints you used and where you did your cutting? Did you do anything special to the chest as well? I just won a ROTF Ironhide and am very currious about this mod you did.
I just cut the front of the feet, jammed in a gundam swivel joint. Sorry I can't post more pics, as I sold him off long time ago.
Necro thread is necro. Wow, has been 3 years. Anyways for your info, this mod was made in 2009 and DMK only made available in 2011. Unless I am Doc Brown with a Delorean, that would probably be the answer. But jokes aside, the hands are from 1/60 scale non grade Gundam Exia.
