Very nice! I love how you made his Legends toy into a working Bayformers design very well. I like it's dinosaur-esque design a lot too. Very cool.
I'd love to see other people's interpretation of the legends toy. Thanks. I figured it'd be boring for him to just roll around on those treads in vehicle and robot mode.
Very good, although people online (such as the TF Wiki) believe it's a Scrapper type that was used to repair Megatron. I concur how it resembles a T-rex and like it very much for that reason.
I (hope) I get the Legends toy today, I will try to fiddle to get him to do a pose resembling your drawing. I'm pretty sure his legs could be turned forward in a 45 degree to make him resemble a T-rex better - also, I think one of the grey support rods can be clipped off, giving his "tail" more movement. Still wish Hasbro would do a Voyager toy of the guy. Oh and to know just where his grid-facemask comes from as it's totally not visible on the alt. mode...
I haven't the foggiest where that rollcage is supposed to come from, which is probably why I broke it up for my design. Much easier to tuck away that that big ol' catcher's mask.
Honestly, I have to say this is one of my favourite ROTF fan arts I have seen so far. I loved the Crane alternate mode, and it was really a shame that he didn't get a robot mode. You took something with very, very little reference, and made an AMAZING robot design. I love the head you did, and opening up the cage gives him a really nice, agressive feel. The legs look fantastic, and I love how the arms and wires on his back give him a little bit of a "city" feel. Honestly, if I were Hasbro, I'd be contacting you, asking if we could use the design for the toy. I'm not going to be able to like ANY figure they put out if it doesn't follow this design. It makes me shiver to think of how SPECTACULAR this design would look fully rendered, and wreaking havoc in Egypt.
I really like this design a lot. It's got a lot of personality, and you've incorporated so many cool elements into it. Nice work
