This being my first post, i'm not sure exactly where to put this, but here goes. This is my Omega supreme custom, which i've been working on and off for a few months now. It's made from a Real Robot Revolution 'New Layzner' figure, which has been modified a bit to, well, be a bit more Omega like. This guy's been designed to have 'three' modes, and this is the first. This mode basically is Omega, before he has his rocket base alt mode. He comes with a set of escape pods, inspired by scenes in the animated cartoon, and his head even opens to reveal the 'cockpit'. There are some scratches on the figure itself, however, that's just due to the paint i'm using. Unfortunately, he doesn't transform, but the other two modes will take care of that.
Whoa!!...this is pretty friggin sweet!!....those little escape pods are too cool. I'd have to say you did a mighty fine job on this guy....looking forward to the rest of the modes And I'm diggin' what I see of the guy in your avvy....is that another one of your customs?....if so, think maybe we can get you to start another thread with pics of him? Welcome to the boards!!
Thanks a lot, Plowking! The guy in my avatar's a custom Insecticon Shrapnel I made a while ago. It's got the paint chips to show it's age. I'll get him up ASAP.
Bonus item for Omega: Mode 1 Taking it's name from part of Energon Omega Supreme, it's the Omega Force Gun! The base figure happened to come with a gun, thought i might as well use it somewhere. Enjoy!
Bouns Item #2! Omega! Taking his name from the small 'headmaster-like' unit of Energon Omega Supreme (according to the tfwiki), Omega is a small robot partner to Omega Supreme, and acts as a tank for Omega's third mode. Yes, Omega's third mode is going to be his Rocket Base. Obviously. I am going to get rid of the blue, just wanted to get a few shots now. Here is Omega! Enjoy!
Thanks guys! Here's some newer pics of Omega. There's still some work left to do on his arms, though.
Alright, that should do it. Omega's done. See the first two pics. Also, i got two work on Omega's second mode, and now he's got detachable 'wings', like the G1 Figure's tracks. And yes, i did use actual model train tracks. They're held on with neodymium magnets.
By request, here are some more 'dynamic shots of the Omega Force Gun. No, he doesn't need any support for the second pose.
DUDE! you have to submit this in the gallery when you're done. Then I can stare at it all day! Wondering where I can get one of those figures?
Well, thanks a lot Fallen! I'm planning to get matrials for the third mode today, so that should be up soon. I found my Base figure at a local hobby store, near some gundam kits. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2247/2437404896_9f3785dce4.jpg?v=1208994236 that's what it looks like, before paint.
Bonus item #3 Omega! I thought that since i was making a Omega Supreme have a 'Cybertronian' and 'Earth' Configuration, why not Omega? Thus this custom comes with a second Omega figure, in 'Earth' mode!
Omega Supreme's BASE! Well, no. Not his Rocket Base alt mode. Just part of it. This is basically a painted Gundam Action Base, which acts as both a display stand for Omega Supreme, and as a part of Omega's Rocket Base.
Skipping past Mode 2, to Mode 3: Omega Supreme's Rocket Base! Well, okay, it's not done yet, but here's a few pics to illustrate what I'm trying to do. Oh, and yes, that's the Omega Force Gun mounted on the Action Base. There's still a few more things to do, like: 1: Get more Action Bases. 2: Get a Rocket (also part of Mode 2). And if possible: 3: Make a more realistic Landscape. Though i highly doubt this will be done soon/at all.
OK, it looks stupid, but there's a reason for that... Which will be revealed when i make a second arm/hand for him. I've finally made the claw i wanted (well, sorta; it didn't turn out the way i hoped). I took a cone spinner thingy from a model plane, and the models original leg thrusters, and got to work. Don't ask me why it's cone shaped; when i think of Animated OS, i always think of cone shaped arms, for some reason. Me just a little i suppose. I know it looks kinda stupid, but when the blaster arm's done (out of the same spinner cone thing), you'll see why. I had to remove some armor from his wrist to get it to work; will fix that soon. Hopefully. Looks: Weird Attaches: Easily Claws: Too short Another case of : Either love it or hate it If anyone can guess why it's cone shaped, they get a...a...something.
