That is shaping up stellar! What finish do you intend to use? I use Valejo satin, you? Looking forward to the finished product a lot!!
@simonsays Thanks man! I usually use liquitex varnish (satin for this one). I find it goes on a bit more transparent than vallejo, and it's cheaper to boot.
yeah, i hear you! The vallejo also tends to be somewhat foamy when you brush, airbrush works quite well. Will try the Liquitex too Do (or did) you also intend to change some things here and there on the Jinbao, e.g. some modifications to the mold of the Gestalt? But this thing will be a work of beauty, can't wait to see it finished! Need a lot of pics in various poses, close ups etc, to drool over lol! Keep up the good work!
hah... I plan on taking tons of pics for sure. Some group shots as well as plenty of gestalt mode. I did do a few things, like I reversed the combiner port on swindle, puttied over greebles on most of the bots for faction symbols, and then I actually removed the raised area on the chestplate for a larger faction symbol. I was planning on modding brawl's shoulders to give it more articulation, but jinbao "improved" the friction joints to ratchet, so that mod wouldn't work any more. I considered heavily modifying blast off so it's combiner port was reversed, too, but i couldn't figure out a way to do it that wouldn't jack up one of the modes too much. I also modified his gestalt rifle so that he could actually hold it The default stock had too much crap hanging off the back so it wouldn't fit properly.
