Haven't updated this in ages. Went over the bot parts with a gloss black (which turned out waayyy too glossy- see the last two pics) So I drybrushed over any sharp edges/angled parts on both the robot parts and alt parts to give a worn effect. I also drybrushed the robot parts, very subtly to give a slight rusty effect, although I'm not too sure how effective that was. As you can see, I've only done the top half and am still in the process of modifying the head (not shown in pictures). I plan to use a stencil to drybrush a flame pattern, to try and give the impression of faded paint. I may also toy with the idea of battle-damage. Any ideas for weapons for this guy? I'm already scratchbuilding a detachable sword.
looks good so far. There are a few details on the character that are armor, but you have colored in the dry brush grey. Do you plan on going over those area's?
Yeah. Once I decide what character I'll repaint him into. I'm leaning towards Scourge/Nemesis rather than Magnus. Seeing as the white primer couldn't cover the red properly. Black would be a lot easier...... Any alternatives to the rather obvious Magnus or Nemesis repaint? Hmmm.....
Right. Little update as i've finished drybrushing the torso and arms. Also- got any opinions regarding this weapon i'm thinking about?
you could still have SOME blue on the door, just do a stripe system down the sides of the cab. I only brought it up because to have a solid blue door randomly stuck in the middle of an all-black cab would look funny driving down the road
You can always do an Onslaught. The Blue doors reminded me of that for some reason. There are a few character you can do besides Nemesis or Scourge. Looks good so far though.
