    Hey guys,

Long time loiterer, first time poster.

I hope you guys will like my first heavily modded custom project.
Its a headmaster sunstreaker based on IDW's machination storyline.

Robot mode (with original unmodified head):

Lamborghini Diablo die-cast re-shell with an unfinished "headless" headmaster :p  :

    Headmaster WIP:

Some new hands im currently considering:

Its a work in progress so all comments and/or criticisms are welcomed.

things i still need to do before i can even consider painting:
-Figure out what im going to do with his chest piece as he looks like a chubby b*stard with it on
-Build a head for the headmaster
-Sculpt in the gaps and sand down all parts for a flush fit
-Decide on which set of articulated hands to use
-Replace wheels with rubber tyre versions

hey guys, Thanks for checking out my custom
I love henkei/universe/classics figures. Great articulation with a modern styling/revamp, but i've always felt that they could really do with some die-cast parts just like their G1 predecessors.

Hi mat, thanks for the warm welcome. I've got some other customs that i rotate through when i get stuck on one thing. i'll try to post them all up later when they are bit more presentable.

Hey eisen, funny you should say that, cos it feels to me like it took forever to make too. LOL

Hey kingbotz - the top two are from gundam. the middle one has flexible pipe next to it which i plan to install thanks to Jin Saotome's tutorial.
the bottom fist comes from a Brave Combat Calibur figure (he looks sorta like a G1 roadbuster but with articulation).

Btw, does anyone know how i can install some LEDs for deluxe sized figures??
that would be the icing on the cake for me if i could give sunstreaker some working headlights.
So far, the smallest i've managed to find was 3mm LEDs, which are still too big to fit in the cramped space under the bonnet. :(

dude.. with that much diecast on it, ya think it'll stand ok? My streaker n swipe have problems standing as is! lol, but man do I love where this is going, Great introduction man, and as for hands, I see you are possibly using the ball jointed connector thingies HLJ.com sells. I would go with the open palmed gundam hand, lop the fingers on and add the new jointed ones on.

i thought it would have problems too, but surprisingly hes still got a good centre of gravity and is quite poseable in robot mode.

have you got a link to your work? curious to see what others have done with die-cast too. or do you mean your stock hasbro figures are clumsy as it is? lol.

yeah, i was gonna use the middle hands with the flexible pipe, but the only downside, is that due to the limited flexibility of the flexible pipe (how ironic  ) it wont make a full closing fist. if only HLJ re-stocked those fully articulated fists again :( .

Sweet job, Sunstreaker is one of my fav's. Working on a ROTF Sunstreaker right now, got a Universe version coming in the mail. As far as LED's, there's 1.6mm ones you can order from HQOparts on ebay, they're small enough to get inside that head. Only problem I can tell you from experience is that they're a bitch to solder the wires to, since they're so small. They run off of small watch batteries, and they usually sell em in sets of 40, 10 of each color, and they come with 2 switches and wires. If you can get the solder to stay on, they'd be perfect.

Damn cool! And die cast to boot- wicked! Is there room for those open hands when he's in car mode? As for the chest section, you could go the way of FrenzyRumbles stunticon (dont remember what he's called, but he's in F_R_'s gallery) and make it a detachable shield...I'm doing that with a project I'm working on. I'm also putting lights in the robot head, but it's not the original sunstreaker head so it's got more room...
