Hi everybody, I'd like to share a little project. :)
A couple of years ago, I had a design floating in my head:

I had some free time to make a proof-of-concept model. It's my first conclusive attempt at building a transformable model. :)
It's fully transformable, it's 2 3/8 inches long in cab mode & 3 1/4 inches tall in robot mode. It's still missing a few panels to clean up the robot & cab modes & it's still missing its feet. I also built the trailer's frame so i can get a feel of the overall proportion of the alt mode.

I changed a few details so they're workable on this scale, I'd install a few more transformy parts, but there'd be no space left for the transforming robot or cab! :)

I hope you guys like it. :)

    Pics:

Some drawings to get details & proportions right. (With some design & planning behind the scenes.)
I started on the wheels & the wheel wells.

Robot mode! Note the missing feet.

Truck mode. Testing the parts fit & transformation. Need to close up the gaps with a few panels.

Truck mode next to a couple of items for scale.

The cab at the palm of my hand. :)

    Thanks for looking!

Congrats on bringing your design to life! I think it'd be awesome if you could make slip on fists and panels to add "perfect image" parts to the set. So fully transformable with standard design and extra design accurate fists to clip on, panels to fill in gaps (like int he arms) and small bits like that. I know i'd buy one :)

You should have a pannel that flips over the wheels in bot mode to better represent the original design.

I, for one, third a crave for pricing.

Also, not going to give you any compliments, too many to choose from.

Thanks, guys. I'm glad you like the design. :)

Still working on a few more parts, the last parts count was 40 (excluding the pins). I had to change a few things from the original design so the whole thing would be less complicated, plus I'm trying to avoid parts-forming, but man... 40 parts! Maybe I'll try this again at a larger scale, I'm sure it can be made more line art accurate.

I'll see how much this will end up costing, we don't even have the trailer yet!

We now have feet! and parts to fill in the torso section.

    New pics!

I redesigned the forearms to get rid of the unsightly gap between the elbow & wrist, plus I added an extra feature. So far, I think everything from the grill up is done. Now I'm off to nitpick on the lower half's details & engineering!

New arm design. No more unsightly hole! Detailed the waist section.

You must do a video review of your project here. I'm dying to see how it transforms.

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. :)

I finally managed to complete the Truck Machine robot section! The legs have a bit more detail & mass, & the laser cannon integrates nicely in both modes. All that's left is some minor adjustments, then I can start painting. Now I have to build the rest of what's inside the trailer. Let's start with the helper drone.

    Finished robot mode!
