    (wip)generations starscream UPDATED

EDIT:New pics, looks quite a bit better then before with new pics, still needs some work, but no longer looks like kaka.

I got the idea for this a while back, and started on it by taking a HFTD terradive, repainting him, and swaping his head for a universe starscream head, after a little drilling and swearing, the head fit perfectly, and is now firmly attached without any glue

Out of curiosity, what paints are you using?

Especially when hand-brushing, never let the paint go on thickly. Thin your paints until they're about the consistency of milk, and then brush it on in thin layers, and let the paint dry before the next layer. Thinned properly, the paint will level itself out, and prevent you from getting brush strokes.

Also, white paint has terrible coverage. Instead of slopping on layer after layer of white paint trying to cover up the original plastic, use one layer of grey/silver as the base, and then go over that with white. Reds and yellows are similar.

But the concept itself is sound. I'm actually kinda surprised just how good that looks.

Yeah, I really like that. I might just have to do that with my spare terradive...

That is a really good idea. What mx-01 archon said about the paint is true. I would also add, be patient. You got a very cool idea. This is probably what a movie style Starscream should have looked like. :)

I know it's sloppy, I was just excited about being the first one to have made a WFC/ Generations starscream, and I was very hasty to upload it, right now, its, smooth, and patchless; I'll get new pictures up tomorrow. Oh and I'm using testors acrylic white, the reason it's so sloppy :dunce  is that I FORGOT to thin it, usually I remember to, but it was late and i was tired.

Very nice. I originally bought my terradive with plans on repainting him. I wanted a cool looking Skywarp. I have no head to put in place, so I thought I would just mod the current one. Then I saw the repaints of him into Depthcharge and wanted to do that. Now that I've seen this, I'm back to Skywarp. >_<

I'm not a huge seeker fan, I really only like Skywarp and Acid Storm. I want to get my hands on the Classics seeker mold too. I've been really behind on my personal customs. I even picked up a 1/144 Gundam Kyrios to repaint into Skywarp as well, which has yet to be painted/built.

Indeed. Starscream as an Su-47 Berkit would have been amazing, and as rough as you think this is, the spark of inspiration is all over it.

I don't get the need to be "first" in a customizing bit so much so that you'd produce the sloppy work to display it just so that you can say you were first..You popped a head on a figure. Well done. Next time just take the time to make it look nice so you don't have to say you were first at putting out a sloppy figure.

The universe Screamer head is mounted on a little peg that expands into plug near the end, thus it was neccesary to find a drillbit of the proper size and drill a hole in the neck mount on terradive, when done the head should pop in with a bit of force, and stay, mine even swivels and transforms. Oh, and of coarse you have to cut off the cock-pit bit hanging off the back of Screamer's head.

I don't need sarcasm, i know how rough thepaint job is, right now screamer is sitting shiny, and relatively flaw free by my desktop moniter, like i said before I will have better picks of the finished (almost) product up today, or tomorrow.

That paint scheme for alt mode is awesome. the only thing I would have tried was putting the wings on his back. I wanna see those stripes show up in robot mode.
Can't wait to see the new paint job!
