    Very nice work, man. I'm a huge fan of your artwork and now, your modeling. You can see some great improvements over time and your G1 faces are indeed dead-on, my friend. These make for some nice reference material--thanks for sharing 'em up. I'm looking forward to seeing Prowl completed.

    I wish I could model the heads and faces somewhere near as good as you do. :(  These are awesome as always. I hope you continue modeling! :)

    The more Makotron artwork I get to see, is the better off I always feel I am as a TransFan :)

    Mako, you and Weewoo were my earliest inspirations when it came to 3D TF modelling...got an AVI of your Megs transform sequence from way-back-when, and it still looks excellent (especially the slight crouch he does before flinging himself backwards). :thumb

    I agree wholeheartedly with Venks's hope that you continue modelling, especially where Prowl's concerned - that's looking beautiful so far. The other pics are definitely a blast from the past, too...planning to revisit any of those? :)

    Thanks man :D  When I'm not working I tend to be EXTREMELY random, so I dunno if I'll work on the others. I still have to finish Arcee, which was my previous 3D project.

    What keeps me working on a project is the amount of stuff I can learn/experiment out of it. Once it gets boring, I move to something else. Hence my adventures into the sculpting/kitbash field, lol.

    Same here. It's like the return of Laserwave!! Didn't you go by that before, Makoto?

    I love it when one of the "oldies" from the fan art forum post some of their stuff. Doesn't matter if it's old or new, always reminds me of good times. Back when I had a passion for doing 3D, and the time to do it.

    For Prowl, are you looking to make him look like G1, or a realistic-transforming Nissan 280z that turns into Prowl?

    And will you be adding the G1 stickers as 'real' detailling (i.e. not flat, but actual bits of the robot)?

    Hey Makoto! As always very true to G1! You've got insane talent, but don't need me to tell you that.

    //memory lane mode on
    Man, those were the days eh? Back when we started doing TF 3D with woo, draven, venksta and yourself. Just us crazy guys and gals doing TF's in 3D on our 3&486's! Hours for a single 640x480 render, sigh...
    //memory lane mode offf

    So, keep trying and don't ever give up. You can do amazing things and we'd all love to see more of your stuff! (And you know this! : ) )
    I never stopped doing TF's in 3D, hell, it may have even been one of the things that got me into Eye-El-EM of all places!Part III here I come!
    Can't wait to see more stuff from you. Take care, all the best...

    Two years later...
    Major rework done, messing with illumination, lining up the panels. A lot of work ahead, though.

    A lot of people would call it finished at this stage. Only a master modeler would consider this still WIP. :)  Amazing work Makoto. :thumb
