My WIP devastator...I figured out how to post pics!

    Here It is. All finished.
A special thanks to Ptitvite, frenzy_rumble, zfeakye, uuser, hXcpunk23, and everyone else who through either your words, posts, comments, and pictures helped me build this.
Special thanks to the staff of tfw2005 for having so many resources posted to help a newbie out. I never would have been able to build this without this site. So again: Thanks!

    On to Devy.
This guy took over 2 months to build and paint. The connections are a mixture of neodymium magnets and lego knights connectors. I glued everything together using a 2 part epoxy called Plastic Weld. I really recommend this stuff. It is amazing.
Any joint that is going to be under a lot of stress is reinforced with screws.
This thing is very posable. It has a ratcheting waist, a ton of articulation, functional guns.
I customized a cyber planet key to fit into his chest shield. It blends very well color-wise and I think makes a great addition to his chest.
Mixmaster is not a parts-former. Everything stays on there.
Hook has a special little touch that I like, a G1 Devastator gun that I customized to be used as part of the combination mode as well as an awesome looking shoulder cannon for him.
I also added some tailights to the combined form...just cause I'm crazy like that.
Ya those red deals on his butt...
If I knew how to do LEDs I would have done them...but paint works until I practice on something a little smaller.
The painting was done by using alchohol to clean the figures off. Then washed with soap and water, then clean water. I then painted everything using Krylon Fusion Flat Black spray paint (I REALLY recommend this stuff)
Then the green was hand painted over the black to achieve the weathered look I wanted. I used Testors Model Master paints for the green and all of the detailing. After I left everything to dry for 24 hours I sprayed everything with 3 coats of Testors Dulcote to flaten and even all the colors out.

The Purple is a mixture that I will probably never be able to make again. But I like it alot.

He stands a total of 18 inches tall.

I wanted a weathered and kind of beaten look...like it had been neglected by Hasbro for the last 25 years :p

I'm listing this guy on ebay a bit later today.
I built it for myself, but I have to help cover some emergency expenses. So my baby has to go away after months of work.

Very nice. He looks very tall and slim. I like how you used Starscream parts for the legs.

I'm a little scared of the painting....
As much work as I have put into this guy, I don't want to mess it up....Some poor bot is going to be my guinea pig and be green.
I wonder who would look good in constructicon colors?

great work! he looks slimmer but very symmetrical. i like the use of Superion Starscream panels on the legs as well, makes his legs look massive and once again, more symmetrical.

What do you guys think of the green?
I wanted to do a darker version than normal. But I'm thinking I went a bit too dark.
