Hey all! I am sculpting this guy out of castilene, and must say I love the stuff. Still some smoothing out and detail work to be added on the parts you see, and then to finish off the legs and base. I plan on having a scrapped bot lying below him, and an arm or head with wires hanging from his left hand. Not sure what I am going to do with him when he's finished. I may have him cast, or I may just keep him on my shelf at home as-is.

Thanks for the kind words. I didn't have time to post all the info about him that I wanted to in the original post. He will stand about 9 inches tall when finished. As I have sculpted him, I have deliberately left "breaks" at all the joint areas. This way if I decide to cast it, it will be as a model kit, and whoever gets one will be able to pose him however they please. As I was doing this, I was thinking how cool it would be, now that Hasbro is taking over the Marvel Legends line, to have a "Transformers Legends" line. Kind of an update to the Action Masters of old. They could even do the Gestalts as the 6 piece build a figure. The possibilities for variants are there too. I am sure I am not the first to have this idea (or wish), but it was really popping in my head as I was sculpting this figure. I will post more pictures soon as progress continues.

Here is an update. Legs are formed in, just need detailing and general smoothing. Begin work on the base and left hand with decapitated head this evening.

Yeah, his head design is what made me decide to sculpt him (updated Dinobots are my next endeavor.) That and the fact that he is a total hard-ass.

I will be working on the base for him tonight, and will take some more pics then. I have sent photos to my molder/caster to see what the cost would be to do this as a model kit. Will keep you all posted.

    Super sweet work!

I've got to agree that the head sculp really shines! Must have been alot of TLC effort, as you captured the Charcter's essence. :rock

Dude, if the price is right, I'd get one for sure. :thumb
