At long last I'm starting a WIP thread for my Slag to go along with my Sludge and MP Grimmy (Just gotta sort out Snarl and Swoop now...)

Still very early, he needs his horns, and hands, and to have his tail and rear legs permanently attached, but he's very happily roughed out now :)

Hopefully this will be received as a worthy follow-on to Sludge!

    Show off! :p

Excellent work on this! And here you've been commissioning work and you're doing stuff like this? How 'bout you build these for me and I give you a ton of my stuff? lol

Keep up the great work on these Dinobots, my friend!

Hey man thanks for the compliment!

It's a GREAT base for all kinds of bestial guys. Sludge is using the same mold and I'm going to configure it differently and squeeze Snarl out of this mold as well :)

Thanks man! One of the reasons I really appreciate and enjoy patronizing other radicons is I truly know how much work goes into these projects!

I might be very welling to consider a swap or collaboration or something. If you're seriously interested hit me up in PM land :)

    Thanks gang!

Great idea for the base, I might have ago to do a masterpiece for my Swoop and Grimlock masterpiece scale bots.

I will be following this project, I love it so far...

Thanks much! So far I'm very happy with how Slag is turning out (I think I'm starting to like him more than Sludge in fact!)

Once he gets his horns and such, I think he's going to come together very nicely.

    Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the bump :)

Made a tiny little bit of progress last weekend when I was up in the VT build-shop, but not enough to have taken more pics. Hopefully I'll get up there again this weekend(?) and log some hours.

He's been on my mind and I've got a pretty good idea of what I want to do to his rear-end/legs, which is the part I want to tackle next.

What head is that? It almost looks like a g1 Scattershot noggin'. A year or two back when I was kicking around Dinobot ideas, I thought that an Armada Starscream's (or any other seeker I guess) head could work well with a bit of sculpt for the visor.

It's a cast of SOMETHING...I think a cheap-o-bot of some variety. I bought it from kidbash.com v1.0, before I got involved, and before the whole project evolved in new directions :)

Thought it was a pretty good match for Slag though!

....And darn I gotta take some better photos!

Lookin' good, bud! Glad to see this is still moving forward!

That's definitely a cast of G1 Scattershot's head. I have one of those in the same black resin I think! It IS a good fit for Slag. Like Conundrum said, I was thinking Cybertron Starscream's head with a visor, but this works!

At first I wasn't sure about his chunky forearms, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. It gives him some of the cartoonish bulk that the old Dinos always seemed to have.

Sludge and Slag are on the top of my active list so they'll probably be done soon (by my standards anyway ;) )

Thanks for the kind words! I'm over all very pleased with both of them so far, there are things I like more and less about each of them but overall so far I'm pleased with progress.

Sludge got a little update around new years that seems to have largely gone unnoticed, check it out if you haven't already :)

Glad you approve! Your critical eye is always on the mark! I was a little concernes about the arms at first too, but my buddy Tom thought that they gave him Incredible Hulk like proportions, which is all I see now....and I'm happy with that! G2 Green paint job perhaps? ;)

MP Grimmy is Grimmy. Check the first post of this thread for a link to Sludge's WIP thread. I've got a Snarl planned but not started (He'll be and even MORE heavily modded AtTe...I want the three that share the base mold to all look very different in both modes, while sharing some design elements...just like the G1 dinos). Swoop I *THINK* I'm going to build up from Energon Swoop...but I'm not married to that yet...
