Yessss! Freaking awesome. I'm needing to score myself another Shockblast so I can make one to keep now. Great custom!!
superquad7: Thanks very much. That is high-praise indeed And yes, I am a fan of Brian Bolland's work, however he wasn't one of my main influences. His work is quite stunning. Jin: Thanks man I really appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad you dig it! Thanks to TonyzCustomz, plowking, and mattarmstrong too. I am glad you guys like it!
I'm very close to completion here: When I get the Gundam hands prepped, they'll snap on and off using magnets, and I can swap something else in there for the alt-mode. For now, however, he's rolling along waving hello *lol* The tread-backpack now snaps on and off. I still have to add the cable/hose leading to his gun arm, finish the Gundam hands, the energon-blade, and his former arm-cannon. I also have a couple more touch-ups to do, and I need to add some clearcoats.
Thanks guys Actually, its Tamiya purple. Here are the paints I used: Tamiya: Purple, Chrome Silver Testors Model-Master Acryls: Flat Black, Battleship Gray, Gun Metal, Steel, Bronze
Shockwave is my favorite G1 character, and I have actually been happy with my Energon Shockblast, but after seeing this figure.......... I HAVE TO MAKE ONE. Great job, Corvus! - Alty
what did you use to make his cannon arm? I have Energon Demolishor and I have Energon Snowcat's cannons. Just need to know how you got all the pieces together and what you used for the forearm part that the cannon is held in. Thanks, great bash btw.
Did corvus die or something? he aint been on in a month. I'm trying the same kitbash only I'm using tamiya purple and tamiya gun metal gray and my Shockwaves chest panel and cannon will be grey like in the comics. Trying to get an amrada galvatron knife arm and figure out how he hooked it all to the shoulder. Any help will be appreicated.
OOhhh! Shockwave zero! Yours is a true inspiration! Did you cover up the inverted logo at the shoulders as well?
