a couple kos i found seemed to fit the bill for these two, did some styrene and dremel work on the heads, still need to sand them smooth where i took off the ko's details, car mode is unmodded, for now, i might add some clear signal and tail lights to them and maybe add some details, then it's off to the paint shop for them

May I ask where you found those two KOs, I love the lines of them

Oh man, those vehicle modes make me think of K.I.F.T (Knight Industries Four Thousand) from the Knightrider 2000 movie.

Man I can't wait to see them done bro.

Ha. I was debating on picking up one of these today. I ultimately decided that I should be able to make something pretty fun out of the other mold choice, as bizarre as it is.

As odd as it seems, I'm fairly certain that this mold was based off of the Racer X car from the 2008 Speed Racer movie. The other bot they had was clearly influenced by another one of the cars in the movie.

    thanks guys

i'll try to get the names for you, i think it was transformable or something like that, yeah i think they were speed racer inspired, since one of the other molds looks like the main car, i thought these looked like 90's firebirds as well, which would be just a newer version of one of their original cars,

lol...I just saw this and I have 2 that are in box I picked up at Big Lots. It's called "Speed Robot" and This one is Speed Robot 1. Came with a decent LED sword I repurposed into animated Grimlock's light up magma sword. I had plans to use downshift's head and make a wheeljack prior to the news coming out we're getting him in generations.

Hmm not bad, how much are they at Big Lots?
Is there any knee articulation? I would love to have a set of Runabout/muck myself.

thanks guys, yeah there is a little knee articulation, maybe 30 degrees or less of movement, i was thinking of rectifing that, they were 2.50 at some no name store here, i didn't get an led sword with them, just a weird tree looking sword, that i put in the parts bin, don't think i'll use it

I think they look like a hellagood start, my one spot of advice would be to the get knee wings double jointed so they can lay flat against the lower legs. (if no one else mentioned that already.)

I would totally have driven a Banshee, if they had ever came out.

brr-icy, man I totally want to get at least one of these to do a KIFT custom.

knee wings are also possible to attach straight up from their shoulders, haven't decided what i'm going to do yet with them, they were the only thing i didn't like about the mold, at least they are versitile
