Just a place holder until we get a nice Universe Jazz. Head needs some more work, replacement hands need to be installed.

Aaanywho, as for what's been done - Jazz' maw has been cut away with Classics Bumblebee's face shoved in. Bits of TFTM Camshaft were used to move Jazz' doors onto the end of the windshield to allow them to swing open in the alt mode and sit as wings in bot mode.

Weapon sits over his shoulder by pegging it onto the end of the spoiler, rather than the middle.

Wow, excellent job. I have a movie G1 Jazz passing off as a classics (even has an added rub symbol). I figured I wasn't the only one, but now that I've looked at this, I want to try it myself. Can you give us a step by step on how you pulled this off?

just guessing here did you use a ball joint under the windshield to pull the door mod off?

never mind after doing some exploratory surgery on mine i see that a ball joint is impractical now i think i have an idea how you did it

...I had pretty much the same exact idea, but as of yet lack the skill to go cutting up my beloved G1 Jazz. But seeing this mod confirms my belief that it can work and that it looks awesome.

We need detailed pics of how you did it so we can all copy and enjoy your incredible work!

Impractical, but not impossible. Ball-joint's exactly how I did it. ^^

    1) Unscrew door with joint from TFTM Swindle/Camshaft (FINALLY a useful purpose of the mold XP)

    2) Chop a chunk out of each Swindle door containing the joint and adhere it to Jazz doors (be sure to shave off posts used to secure Jazz door to leg)
    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/Pabloco/TF/100_0493.jpg

    3) Shave away at Jazz' thighs (only at the corner, compare my pictures with your Jazz to see the difference in the hip area)

    4) Test fit the doors (with ball post) to make sure everything clears!

    5) Place epoxy at the corners of the windshield to attach the ball posts to the windshield. Allow full curing time

(Picture shows ball posts after curing)

    6) Fold the windshield up against Jazz' back. Cut away any material that prevents clearance.

    7) Figure out what else to do to give this guy a better Classics feel. XD

Love it to bits. I'm not a particular fan of movie Jazz, but you've really boosted the mould no end!

just a question though, i tried placing Jazz' cannon on the shoulder but the spoiler hinge don't have much room to move
I mean do you need to cut a little to give it more room to move the spoiler backwards ?

My spoiler just needed a little extra force to pop that far back. *nod*

As for the hands, I'm thinking about swapping them out with some small Gundam fists, a la FR's Smokescreen.

thanks for the tip. speaking of hands or fists, yes 1/144 gundam kits would fit well. just need a few mods and some cutting job.

I tried pushing the spoiler but unfortunately it caused some crack on the plastic hinge :(

Looks like I'll need a spare Swindle now, at least I can still find Camshaft with no problems.

Once again, excellent work, and pretty much the same thoughts i had on doing this.
