Here's my attempt at repainting Vector Prime as Cyclonus to fill in as Cyclonus for my classics universe.

    http://collectorreborn.com/?p=45

This is my first attempt in the world of repainting.

I'm thinking of keeping the head. He seem's to have Cyclonus' facial expression. I'm not really pleased the with the blue he's painted with. Too bad there's no purple kyrlon paint for plastic.

I think he looks REALLY good, but he needs some silver touches and highlights to subdue some of the blue and make some details visually stand out.

Wow, I never thought of Vector Prime repainted like this. Neat idea! A bit big compared to most of the Classics, but when did that ever stop anybody/anything? :)  Look forward to seeing finished!

It looks really cool, but I cant really see it as Cyclonus. The colors you chose look more like G2 Dreadwing (without the teal parts). Cyclonus is purple with bunny ears!

    He needs ears.

    He's not Cyclonus without ears.

I dunno, he looks a bit blue to me, and yeah, Cyclonus needs ears.

Any plans for Classics Scourge or Sweeps?

I like it... but I agree that it needs some refining to bring out some of the details. And it's too bad that they didn't have a purple paint to go with it, but what are you going to do?

For a first custom paint job, I think you did pretty well. Keep at it.

I've found a purplish paint and repainted the whole thing. Here are some update pics. Click images to see large pics. As for the head. still haven't figured out what to do about it.

Oh about the size thing... If I recall correctly in the G1 cartoon, Cyclonus was taller than Galvatron. My reference in size is Classics Megatron.

I like it. Im definately getting more of a G2 Dreadwing vibe than Cyclonus, but either way its still an awesome repaint.

Thanks... It's more purple in real life. I just have to figure out how to get my paint program to show it's true colors.

Love the way you positioned the wings, very Cyclonus-y! Perhapes purple highlights on them would complete the look?

Thanks... I'm still thnking of ways to tweak the head without it affecting it's transformation. If only I could get the years I think it would make a great Cyclonus.
