A while back I posted a digibash of my idea for Alt Perceptor. Which I got the idea from the TFA series pics.
This where I'm at today, I bought this custom off of ebay a while back it was a custom Alt Ironhide at the time when I bought it. But I allready had two Alt Ironhides (one which I am working on for Rampage to add him to my predicon team w/ some work). So I decided to use it as my base I removed the roof like in my digibash and glued back doors in place so they won't open. Also I sanded them down flush. I plan to repaint him red and fill in as much of the lines as possible to give him a truck look. I have allready painted his arms, legs and head to resemble Perceptor. I also have order a G1 Perceptor scope and arm disk which I need to find a way to attach to him. I also need to find a way to mount the scope in Alt mode and add some computer screans in the bed. So what do you guys think so far.

Are you trying to fully duplicate the animated character, base-mode and all? If so, good luck on your ambitious project.

I'm going to try to get him as close as possible to the TFA pics as possible. I'm really not sure how far I will go. Also I don't know if I can get the wheels to fold out like in the pics. But if any one has ideas on the wheels it would help.

Looks to be a neat project. Would be so cool if Toyota/Scion released a mini truck like this. Think I have seen some real custom ones before.

Me too they are so cool looking! A lot people I know don't like the Scion Vans beacause of it's box look. But it's one of my favorite vehicles on the market.

I love the original one, I got a Metallic Blue 2006 and it is awesome. They are great for adding stereos to as well, mine has a great system installed with a hidden subwoofer in the trunk next to the spare tire. lol If I could find a local place that could do this(and a good job) I would be all over converting mine into a truck.

So you think I should nix the hole animated look idea. This would make my work a lot easier. Does anyone else think the same?

I like how you're going. It's still going to be an alternator (I think there might've been confusion here), just a cool 3rd mode to go with it.
