I revisited CW Liokaiser recently since getting my first 3D printer up and running, and came up with a 6-bot configuration that doesn't require extensive modding to any of the limbs or torso bots, and they all retain their stock bot and alt modes. It's built around a Dezarus "frame" that all 6 bots connect to (anti-parts former people can see your way out now, I'm not a magician... Lol). Using the heavily dremeled out and cut Dezarus framework with combiner port pieces designed by asphalt and dencio333x on Thingiverse, the torso accepts the 2 CW bots (I'll be swapping out Rook for Swindle once I get another one) via their combiner pegs, so they are locked on solid. All that's left is finishing a neck swing arm joint for the combiner head, and then cleaning some of the rough sections on the torso combiner joints. This is all just a proof of concept piece, as I will be designing printable bolt on parts with the proper sized cutouts for the Dezarus frame (once I get a new video card for Tinkercad). And of course he'll need paint, new heads, etc for all the individual bots. Seems to be shaping up alright so far, just needs some refinement.

Update 9/20! Restarted from scratch after not digging the proportions and look of Dezarus Frame V1. Decided to build a completely new frame ground up using 3D printed combiner ports to form the entire upper body skeleton. MUCH sturdier and allows for a cleaner look with all 6 bots mounted on the frame. This is what I'll be sticking with moving forward due to how functional and solid it is.

That's awesome! Do you plan on using anything to give him his knees?

Yeah, eventually .There's options on Shapeways for that, but I'm going to try and come up with my own design and print it myself.

What does the torso look like without Leozak and Rook?

Here is the frame underneath the 2 torso bots. Once I get settled with Tinkercad, I'm planning to just create a ready to screw in piece to replace the black upright section that had to be hacked up from Dezarus to fit all these port pieces. That way it'll be as easy as unscrewing the original Dezarus structure and replacing it with a ready to go frame with integrated ports for the torso bots.

Created a collar plate for the head and neck assembly in combiner mode. This is probably the finalized configuration, pretty happy with it. Now it's on to modding and painting whenever I get the time.

Gonna post a PSA thread on how to do it, but yeah, he's got knees now, through the easiest solution possible... =)

Rebuilt the Dezarus frame using 3D printed combiner port pieces as a skeleton, and it worked out great. Aside from still having to mod and customize the individual bots, THIS is now my Liokaiser build. Very happy. =) Combined mode is solid, it has knees, digging the look. Updated original post with same pics.

pretty neat. It looks like it breaks down. do the pieces actually do anything outside of combined mode? would be cool if the skeleton was more than just a piece you set aside in bot mode.

Nope, they don't do anything but make the combined mode possible. It wasn't a goal of mine to give the frame some kind of mode or function since that'd take legit Hasbro/Takara engineering skills. Maybe they'd be able to have the frame turn into the Breastforce animals/weapons or something cool like that, but I'm just a random TF collector with no skills. Lol =)

Wow. I have no interest in this figure but dude; that is why 3d printing is an amazing addition to the customizers toolbox.
You made me stop and look. Great job on the design. Love the improved aesthetic in combined mode.
I have too many projects to handle at the moment but I totally want to get stuck into the CW combiners at some point to improve stability and looks.

Yeah, I'd have to say picking up a printer has been a huge game changer for me. Being able to immediately try out ideas instead of hunting for the right parts or trying to make custom pieces by hand is damn amazing.

i think i might have an idea for you if u are willing to take a look. This will break everything down into a weapon. Since im not sure what you did for the head you will have to work that one out yourself.

    to explain,

    Shoulders
it looks like your shoulders peg into the main torso piece. With this you can make it so they pop off and turn into a gun by adding a 5mm handle to the back side of the combiner port and put a barrel hole in the part that pegs into the main body.

    Side Abs
the side abs can be made into a separate piece that pegs into the main torso piece. you would need to add a 5mm port for the peg which acts as a handle and then put a barrel hole (or a rocket launcher face similar to shuffler) and there are your 2 guns for that.

I have 2 options for the torso.

    Torso Option A
The upper torso separates from the waist and thighs. You add a 5mm port to the upper section of the torso and make the lower section have a barrel hole. the waist and thighs get a 5mm peg added for a handle and becomes a double barrel gun.

    Torso Option B
Option B keeps the torso, waist and thighs together. This might be a rather heavy gun. Spin the thighs so they are against the torso, add a 5mm peg to the upper part and add a barrel hole under the crotch.

Here is a break down visual of what i just explained.

This is AWESOME. Very good ideas! I'll try incorporating some of these for sure. A few of the pieces can definitely be used to form Jaguars missile rack, and the rest can be weapons or maybe even armor pieces for the individual bots. Thanks for putting this together!

np. if u need help with the head i need a better view of what you did. it looks like u just have a peg sticking up with the head on it like a head on a stick. I would make a piece that pegs into the V where the shoulders lock in to and u can make that another gun if u fill it in a little. The head could be part of the gun and folds into it. kinda like this.
