So not really dubs, but new scale wheels.
I really hated how Hastak decided to go for small wheels and the silly suspension gimmick on 20th prime instead of the scale wheels that they could have fit in there. So I'm fixing mine up with 1/28th scale truck wheels. I'm about half way through the project and running out of patience with all the diecast Demeling/filing work, so I thought I'd post a WIP thread for a little motivation!
Oh, does anyone know of a paint brand/color that is close to the origonal blue on his legs?

    Thanks,
    Overkill

I always thought the small wheels didn't belong on 20th Prime. It will be really interesting to see how your kitbash turns out. Keep at it man, its looking great! :thumb

Hey give im bigger gas tanks wile your at it. I myself have never seen a semi with gas tanks that small, If Prime was a REAL semi he would run out of gas in no time.

I have bigger tanks for him from the same model.
I've decided to make them detachable cause they look too big in bot mode.
Basically they are just half a tank that slides on over the small ones.

I wondered why his wheels were so small too. Looking at the toy, the answer is the tiny wheels they used are the absolute biggest wheels you can fit horrizontally in his chest side-by-side as the transformation requires. So the options were to have all of the wheels be too small, or small front wheels and large back wheels. I guess HasTak opted for uniform tire size.

Actually, the answer is the tiny wheels they used are the biggest you can fit in the chest with the silly suspension gimmick. If you remove the suspension, like I am doing, wheels the same size as the ones I am using in the back also fit in the chest.

Heres a question, where did you get the wheels?
I need a set *bad* for a custom I am stalled on.

    Update!

    UPDATE!!!

I've finished one rear wheel assembly, so I thought it was time to post more pics.
The axles are made from roofing nails.
you will notice the assembly mounts using the origional screw mount, so I could put the small wheels back on if for some silly reason I really wanted to.
In the pictures you can also see the slide on gas tank shell, and my custom stacks, which were also from a model. I broke one off while removing the front wheel a while back, and now I can't find it to glue back on. I'm sure it will turn up somewhere.
In the pics I set the front wheel in just to give an idea what the finished version will look like.

Nice! Should look good transformed, too. The duallies will gove the legs a nice heavier look.

The wheels look great, but those smokestacks look awkward. Too long and skinny.
