Im thinking about doing some electronics in the future for some figures, lighting in specifics. I have a question though, if i were to say drill a hole where the light was supposed to shine out of, what kind of material should i use to cover the whole as a lens for the light. Im thinking of translucent type of look.

for example jin's ironmans, where the light shines out.

what are good materials for making that lens or window and to make it translucent.

    thanks.

CD cases. They come in different colors too. I was able to find some that are softer type of plastic, would work nice for this.

you can get clear styrene, in all the differnt shapes and sizes as regular styrene, so you can have all the unlimited shaping abilities as any scratchbuilder can. then to make it the color you want, paint it with clear paints.
