As the title says, we have some basic information and images of the three Transformers Animated Hand Painted Hardcopy figures which Hasbro UK will be giving away in September to 3 lucky winners who purchase an item from the HasbroToyShop between 25th August and 14th September.

You can find more information on this amazing prize, only open to UK residence (which makes a change) at Transformers Animated.com

You can see the prizes in our Auto Assembly 2008 gallery

We also hope to have some video of the Transformers Animated Nintendo DS Preview Video which was shown at Auto Assembly up a bit later (though I need to edit the hour of footage first).

Not something I'd particularly want, Bulkhead looks..eh not so great. Don't care for the look of Supreme Prime in general. Megatron, though I hate that mold, does look nice though.

Resin figures, not plastic, used in the toy production process before Prototypes and way before Testshots. They are basically the originals, other than the molds .. or are they before the molds, I forget.

They didn't look like they Transform, and as you can see with Prime, aren't painted in the same was as the final production pieces. The axe is also molded differently.

These will be worth more in the long run then a mass produced toy.

I saw them at the booth and they were all very nicely done, with diorama bases and custom display cases.

What's really amazing is that the guys showing these don't actually work for Hasbro UK any more. They were a recent ex employee and his brother.
From what he was telling me he'd been working at Hasbro UK in accounts (or something) for several years and being a fan had been constantly asking to be involved with the Transformers side of Hasbro UK's operations.

Big company's being what they are they mostly kept him out of it but during those same years the organisers of Autoassembly have been asking Hasbro again and again to come to the event, for whatever reason they finally relented this year but the product/brand manager (don't know her title) was on holiday so she asked this guy to represent Hasbro at the show on her behalf.
    To this end they gave them a number of European packaged current/forthcoming toys to show off including;

Animated Ultra Magnus (undoubtedly the highlight there and the one just about everybody wanted to handle, which we were generously allowed to do so.), Oil slick, Soundwave, Snarl (no Jazz sadly), leader Bulkhead & Rollout Optimus.

Universe Onslaught, Powergide, Tankor and Sunstreaker. Don't think I saw Prowl there.

And there were a couple of the new G1 legends as well as the Springer/Ratbat comic pack and Legacy of Bumblebee 3 pack. Items that may not even be released here.

Of further interest was that said Brand manager did want to come and hopes to be there next year thus gracing Autoassembly with the first official visit of a Hasbro rep!

Hey Jon, sorry you couldn't make it this year, maybe see you ther enext year. :)

It's one entry per purchase of any Transformers product between 25th Aug and (I think) 18th Sep so hopefully wave three animated will be up on the site by then meaning a good four or more entries for me! :D

Damn, hope you can find a job soon man, I know how horrible being out of work feels. :(

Would be great to see you there next year, they're planning on making it a longer event perhaps something more akin to Botcon with folks all staying in the same hotel and stuff.

I checked the dates on that contest too, it's the 25th - 14th, still plenty of time though. We just have to hope they have stuff up worth buying!
