or 10? 15? 30? I am 29, and hope to still be having some fun in a few years, but you never know.

Does anyone see yourselves collecting TFs in your 50s and 60s? My thoughts:
First and foremost, with the current rate of technology, there is no telling what a "transformer" may be at that time. I also think that as we age, our priorities change. On the other hand, I think a lot of fans have young souls, and the thought of having a cane in one hand and Optimus in the other sounds intriguing, don't you think?

I think the better question is, will you still be actively growing your collection in 20-50 years? I'm still growing my G1 collection, but probably after that I will stop. Of course I will still have my collection to gaze upon in 50 years and remember fondly, but I don't think I will grow it much more.

I barely collect now. In 20 years- eh... most likely not. I've always been interested first and foremost in the stories, so the toys are really only icing on the cake.

I like to think that I will, but it's hard to say what will happen between now and then.

Maybe. But by then I'll probably either be sick of the franchise or doing more important things with my life.

    Absolutely.

I'll have a great room dedicated to it, and I fully intend to get into diorama building once I'm outta the Army and a little more settled.

My issue is can the space to store/display the collection grow as fast as the collection, i'm afraid after a few more years the answer might be no.

Most likely, I am still a kid. Buy the time twenty years passes I will be the age that some of you are now. But I agree with what paldine said, I will always have my collection somewhere. Because if something comes up the makes it hard for me to come up with money to buy figures I will most likely stop. But I always want to keep my collection to look at and think about the fun I had.

Yeah I hope so, I hope theres many more interesting and visually appealing TFs to come, of course I also hope I get filthy rich so I can have a nice large room especially for my hobbies and toys, I think finances and quality of products will determine that though.

I hope not. I like what I have, and theres stuff I know I want. But I don't want to get to the point where I have more toys than I know what to do with (not just TFs that I collect btw). I was at that point once (where trying to move everything was just a bitch) and wound up losing like 70-80% of my collection. It was kinda cathartic. I hope to get to a point where I'm comfortable with what I have, and then maybe just pick up some odds and ends every once in a while.
    Less is more or whatever.

I will probably have the G1 collection as I have but I will not buy another reissue prime if he comes in 20 years time.

I dunno I've cut down my collecting considerably...I think I have a few years left in me, but definitely not 20. Or even 10.

You took the words out of my mouth. I don't see why I won't be collecting in 20 years.

Who knows, 20 years is way too much time, but if things are ok why not?

If HasTak keep on going I'll be always interested. Not sure if I'll be actively buying though.
    Maybe for grandkids, it's a possibility :)

Well, hopefully in 10 years you will be some famous drummer that we will be seeing at the Grammy's...

Good answers. I am not sure I will, but I at least hope to have a couple of items, if nothing else, for nostalgic's sake.

I also agree with Easterling that, although we will probably see another ten prime reissues in the next 20 years, I ain't buying another unless it is real and automatically transforms.
