I'll buy Brawl because he's one of my favorite G1 Decepticons and probably Blast Off because he's purple. Not sure about the other three, though.
I have no plans on getting him because to be honest he looks awful to me. I'm glad that other folks seem to like him but he does absolutely nothing for me.
Yea, though I will probably try to get all three versions, I would almost like the retail one first just to check it out a bit in person. Not huge on the FOC aesthetic, and it is pretty silly looking (so far) as a combiner. Three of the individual bots look good to me at this point, so I may as well have them..... But the completionist in me says "get them all, especially the exclusives". Biggest problem with getting them all is if/when a 3rd party does make an upgrade, then I am gonna want three upgrade kits.
I am going to mix em up to look darker.... G2 vortex because he looks better darker, G2 Brawl if its a dark green which it looks, the regular Blastoff due to the darker purple and Onslaught Swindle from SDCC. All together it will be a much darker bruticus... although I'm going to make those guys stay in deluxe robot mode and keep Fansproject as my Bruticus. I'll take the remaining unused bruties and combine some and customize it as unique combiner.
Pretty much this. I'm planning on the SDCC version, but I'll go with the Amazon gift pack or plain retail if that's what I can get. I missed out in the Fansproject Bruticus, so this will be my stand in to face off with Superion.
Yeah, the combined form looks so weird...too lanky and does not look proportional. I'm definitely giving this a miss and saving my monies for other stuff. Hasbro made the same "business" decision with the Marvel Universe Sentinel when the regular coloured ones (purple ones) where the exclusives and the silver ones were the regular ones. Bombed in my country! LOL!
SDCC: will be stolen if i must G2: really want Energon: last resort if i can't get the other two and i'll repaint him to be game accurate
I am definetly going to try and get the Comic Con one. It is the right colors and I love accuracy. I'm not to worried about price. It will probably be cheaper than anything Ebay is going to have afterwards. So I am going to try and move fast when it comes up.
Id bet good money that within a month we will have a few Shapeways add on's at the very least to shore him up. Within 3 months of release I'm betting Rendeform, Crazy Dev, or Dr. Wu will be putting out something for him. If the gun can't clip on the back to form shoulder cannons, smart money is that will be where the third parties start with the mold.
Even though I think the combined mode is crap, I like the game accurate SDCC version, hopefully I can get it at a good price. Maybe HTS will sell the version eventually. I will get the retail version if I am unable to get the SDCC, might have to do some painting. I still hope a 3rd party group will come out with a upgrade kit to polish the turd.
I'll be buying it mostly for the individual figures. They look great. Combined mode is an added bonus
I'm eagerly awaiting a review of some sort to see if I'm even interested in the mold. If so, I'd like to get the SDCC version for a decent price, but since that ain't gonna happen, I suppose I could settle for "Brut-Aid".
He's a true blue Scramble City combiner with no repaints within the team nor any combiner kibble, of course I'm getting him. The real question is: what deco? (whichever's cheapest/easiest to get)
If FoC Bruticus is a test to see if they're popular... they made a huge mistake on changing those colors lol
