Damn! I can imagine it would be a bit different on consoles. Especially on phones. I'll stick with PC.
True, but for me (using a non-power gaming laptop I received as a graduation gift in 2003), this means I'll be able to enjoy Spore via my PS2 or DS, even if in a diminished capacity.
If you can run it on your PC, I shake my fist at you in envy.
I wanna know more about how they are gonna be doing it on the consoles though. I'm definitly gonna get it on 360 if anything, but are they gonna make it an online only game where you can't even start the game if you aren't connected to Live?
I cant imagine playing this game not on a PC. I wonder how they're going to pull it off. Oh well, Im still going for the PC version! ^^
From the article it sounds like he's not entirely sure yet himself how it's going to work out on some platforms. Could be really interesting to see what he and his team figure out.
If that's true, I'm getting the Wii version. After all, the Wii-mote enables it to be the most fateful (and perhaps even more precise).
Will's a PC guy. I'm glad to see the PC version will be first. That way we don't have any "dumbed down" controls like all console to PC ports.
Since he said all platforms, I'm going to go ahead and assume a Wii version is coming.
Seems to me the wiimote would be able to faithfully reproduce the PC's control configuration, so that's the version for me!
I'd argue that the DS version may be just as precise, if not more so. The stylus works just like a computer touchpad, and will therefore allow for quick and easy selection of units or items on screen.
Sure, it'll be lacking some stuff, or might have some limitations (no more than 6 legs, etcetc), but I'll be happy to play Spore in whatever iteration I can get (but, if I can run Spore with massively dumbed down graphics settings on my laptop, that'll be my choice instead).
I’m planning on going with the PC version, unless my system can’t handle running it at graphics levels I want with out expensive upgrades. In which case I’ll likely go with the 360 (even if I have other systems by then) for the game score points.
Same here, I hope the 'library' system allows it to run on 'older' comps (have a fairly recent one, but it won't play the higher up games like Quake 4 without hicups).
it would be cool to have a PSP or DS version, especially with their wireless ability.
This game is going to be SO damn good.
