There is no way I am going to be able to cough up $329 before Botcon to send to Hasbro for a non-attendee package. Do you guys think places like Bigbadtoystore will have them for sale after Botcon?

BBTS -very- likely will, as they (and others) go out of their way to get ahold of multiple sets at the convention itself.

Highly unlikely that you'd be able to buy the 3 seekers without Dreadwind and Bugbite.

Most definitely, but likely as a set, and a big mark up

How much was the Beast Wars Botcon set last year? The reason I ask is because BBTS has it for $320.

Vangelus, you are probably right about not getting them seperately, but as long as I get those 3, I'll be happy. Although, I don't know where I'm going to get the money for them.

I'm gonna try to get a second bagged set, and sell them individually.

BBTS typically has a few of the convention toys afterward. As I understand it, they give people "store credit" for turning over their exclusives. And at least back in the 3H days, they were able to secure a bit of extra stock from the organizers.

With this year's set being as popular as it's shaping up to be, I wonder how many folks will be willing to part with their own sets?

EDIT: Half a dozen replies in the time it took me to type this. :lol

Really going off the top of my head, but I -think- it was around $250?

Mostly thinking in terms of the member rate, the non-member rate is seriously not worth it. You actually save money by buying a membership + member rate box. So, $250-$290 unless I'm way way off.

Someone please correct me if I'm cacking up the facts here. :D

Unfortunately, in terms of demand, this years and last years Botcon toys aren't comparable.

Actually, I think it's $350 at BBTS. Last year's set was about the same price as this year's set - $300 or so.

But I think this year's is going to be in much higer demand. Look how many people are posting about not being able to go. I think the initial offering price is as cheap as you are ever going to see it.

Edit: I found my 06 registration form. It was $249 for a Primus Package.

not at ALL surprised. Good thing the BW characters never looked like that during the show or I'd be so tempted.

Yes websites will be selling them, but be prepared to pay a huge markup, especially if you're buying from BBTS, and ebay won't be much better.

However the prices on ebay seem level out a bit over time.

Good point. Every BC exclusive I can think of sold for less 3-6 months after the show than it did the week after. The first few people who "have" to have them are going to pay way more than they need to.

That's why you see a lot of people race to put toys up while they are still at the con. They usually make a *lot* of money doing that.

    Patience is a virtue.

    What is wst????

Anyway, I'm going to save up money shortly so I can guy them from someone as soon as they get them. Yes, it sucks having to pay a scalper, but there is no other way to get them. I would have sent in a non-attendee package form, but Hasbro charges the moment they receive it, when it should be at the time they are about to ship the friggin things.

WST is Worlds Smallest Transformers, a special line of ultra-small TFs.

And the BotCon set has nothing to do with Hasbr otaking your money.
