the title pretty much sums it up, and i'm not talking about the animated blitz. i want a classics blitzwing here folks. so what do you guys and gals think?

 

Not really sure I'm afraid. Then again we did get a FOC Shockwave which is pretty close to a CHUG Shockwave.

 

Hopefully. I've been hoping for a nice astrotrain thats a good solid homage to the original.

 

I lol if we get a Classics Blitzwing based on Animated. :X I would not mind, although the fandom will rage.

If Generations will be more than just Fall of Cybertron toys (something we don't know yet, since right now only the FoC stuff is confirmed)...maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe? The fact that they're actually attempting a combiner in Bruticus makes me wonder if they'd be willing to take another crack at a triple changer.

How do you mean, that he'd have three heads, or the design in general? Head aside (which was a fun addition anyways), the design was a pretty good, new take on Blitzwing. I thought the only thing people didn't like about the Animated toy was that it didn't hold together very well and the cannons couldn't flip over his shoulders in 'bot mode. If a Classics Blitwing took the Animated design, Classicsized it and fixed the flaws of that Animated toy, I'd be damn happy. Even tank treads showing visibly in jet mode wouldn't bother me much if the 'bot mode nails it and the alt modes aren't bad.

Honestly I would prefer a more mainstream - or at least more iconic - character be reinvented first. We've had a lot of obsecure Decepticons recently (ie: Generations Straxus, Black Shadow, etc) but what I am holding out for is a Soundwave. That's it, just a Soundwave that fits with Classic stylings.

No offense to the OP. I would love a Classic Blitzwing too! Just maybe not as a priority.

 

I don't know about this year. But with FoC Bruticus in the works, options have now been opened back up for a new Triple-Changer in the Generations line.

I hope so, because I can't fathom how Classics/Henkei Astrotrain is not already a solid update to the original.

 

I wouldn't mind his tank mode being like Animated Blitz's tank mode. Most Generations alt modes are updated anyway

 

I would love to finally get a triple-changing Blitzwing by HASBRO/TAKARA but I don't believe this is the year. Just seems to be to much in the works as is.

I certainly hope so, but I kind of doubt it.

Takara already did that so I think it's pretty unlikely.

 

probly not, as 1) they can't re-use the mold as a new character and 2) its a lot of engineering/parts for a one-off toy.
