The reason I ask is because I haven't really been on the site in a while and I had a chance tonight to get one for $175, is that a good deal? before i go shelling out the money i figured id ask if the US is getting it?

I think Ultimate Optimus is the unfortunate equivalent of that amazing piece but I'd be surprised if Hasbro released Jetwing Prime.

It's a great looking figure and knowing Takara does movie-verse figures really neat,I think that's a price that's fair enough.

Ultimate prime isnt the substitue: its aimed at a younger market.

Aside from which Takara are marketing both.

It's a decent price if shipping is already included.. But seeing that it goes for $200+ and shipping not included then that's a decision only you can make..

I don't understand why everyone wants this thing so bad.

ROTF Prime was simply amazing. Is a ridiculously oversized backpack that he wore in one scene really worth $200?

That question isn't rhetorical. I am really asking.

Elrod, I had Jetwing Prime pre ordered from BBTS. Prior to it's arrival I was checking out some YouTube reviews and came across the one for this toy by the guy that curses a lot. Don't remember his name tho. Anyway, he gives a real no nonsense, 'this is what the toy is' review of Jetwing. It did not matter to me at all that its Buster Prime without the special paint. Also, the wing pack is not worth the extra $150.00 over and above a normal leader Prime...to me anyway. Then and there I realized that I don't need another ROTF Prime (awesome as he is) for $200.00. Cool toy but the jet pack thing was not worth that much to me.

Yes. The guns and the jetpack is simply amazing. I wished it had the buster prime chrome paints though

This. It's not like the backpack is complex or anything. At most it should add an extra, what, $30 to the price of a leader class figure? I'd pay $60-$80 for that, not more than twice as much.

I hope Stryker Prime gets a release here. *crosses fingers* hopefully even share a case mate in the form of a leader class Megatron. I'm really disappointed we haven't heard a single thing about a leader class figure for each of the two most iconic characters in the entire franchise for this toyline. (Ultimate Prime doesn't count)

People from the US complaining about how a toy costs $200 yet we can get it in Australia for far cheaper...

...Is this what happiness feels like?

Not a bad price at all. If you really like the look, go for it!!

I had him preordered at a Japanese site. I can't imagine how much I'd have had to pay for the shipping. We were very fortunate. Once in a very long while, yeah, we can get lucky, eh? :D

I think I'd rather see Striker Prime here at this point, although getting a domestic release of either Leader figure seems like it's fantasy at this point.

I honestly don't want him to. I really don't need to spend more money.
