Scorponok would like a word with you.

I like comic Starscream's interpretation of Scorponok better. "Put your toy away, Blackout."   I almost wonder, given the nature and uses of Scorponok and Frenzy, whether there's more of a connection between the two even if Scorpy's not the talkative type. Those two, if related at all, of course bring to mind the cartoon depiction of the Casseticons as well. They all weren't quite feral morons, but they definitely had a hierarchy (if you can call Rumble and Frenzy intelligent   ).

Of course, anything like this is probably more high-brow than whatever Bay was actually talking about!

 

Perhaps we're looking at Grimlock in the wrong way. Perhaps the Tyranosaurus Rex part of him need not be one of physical shape, but rather philiosophical. Unless I'm mistaken, Grimlock in War Within lead the Lightning Strike Coalition, a special forces unit. He turned into a very large, very powerful armoured vehicle. I thought it was a fine choice for him.

If Grimlock were to be included, perhaps we could capitalise on his character of being described as a dinosaur in the same way we would describe someone who is out of date or old. Grimlock could be an old, nearly savage Cybertronian that has managed through the All Spark to become more intelligent. So the designation of 'Dinobot' is in fact a moniker coined by Sam or another human ally.

 

I personally would be happy with that. If they were to try and incorperate a dino-like mode for him (or them depending on if any others show up), I would prefer them to be triple changers. Give Grimlock his bot-mode, a tank-mode for disquise, and a t-rex-ish mode for his "attack-mode" (something similar to Scorponok's scorpion mode).

 

Almost hard to believe that Bay would skip out on the opportunity to be the first to have a non rubber suited multi million dollar digital mechanical dinosaur kicking ass!
Plus he loves to shred metal, and Grimlock's jaw is perfect for it.

The kids would love that! It's a formula full of WIN

 

He never really came out and said no so I will take it as a yes!!!

 

Grimlock could also cause countles explosions, which happens to be another favorite of Bay's (though not a bad thing in a TF movie, imo).

 

Different species = giant crab-bots.

Aww, that makes me sad. He had better put something just as awesome in the movie, something worth their absence. :/

 

Where is Hasbro's say when it comes to this? They should at least get to add something of their choosing into the sequel.

I didn't really see what he said as 'No Dinobots'.

 

I love the dinobots--but yeah, it could be a little bit of a stretch trying to get them into the movie-verse. Though the idea of giant metal dinos trashing some cons in beautiful movie CGI is pretty darn tempting.

I also hope they put a gestalt/combiner into the sequel (how cool would that be?), but I kinda doubt they will.

 

Dinobots vs Constructicons! That's what the sequel should have.

 

Now if only the Dinobots would say No Michael Bay in TF2.

 

Of course, this could be disinformation, and the whole plot of TF2 is about Dinobot Island.

hes going to keep us all guessing right up to the end....i highly doubt he wants the sh!t storm of flak he got the last time when the designs leaked out

I watched he clip and he didn't say anything about no dinobots and that the new robots are a secret so there could be some hope.

 

I didn't hear a no. As mentioned, all he said was there will be many different species.

 

You need glasses or clean your ears out because you have no idea what Clearly is. You need to listen to that vid again Mr. Clearly. He didnt say No.
