I recall somebody saying something about Ratchet's VA in a convention confirming that Season 3 VA is already going on.

Yup, Jefferey Combs said he (and everyone else) is in the process of recording for a third season.

There have been reports of a third season being made, so it'll probably happen.

    ...Not sure if serious.

Most likely, since they kinda need the series to promote the toyline, which has and always will be the major money-making part of the franchise, and the movies are on break right now.

Yes, but if it's going to continue, it better improve. A lot.

I semi-agree. Season 1 was pretty damn good, but Season 2 has yet to really wow me so far. I think it has to do with Megatron not really having any clear motivation for most of the season up until now.

Hmm, will this be the one to reach past 3 seasons?

5 seasons would be alot larger than beast era. True there was 3 seasons of Beast Wars and 2 seasons of Beast Machines, but remember, only season 1 of Beast Wars was 26 episodes. The rest were really just half seasons at 13 a piece. Beast Wars was 52 episodes total, and Beast Machines was 26 total. The end of season 3 for Prime will put them at the same length (78 episodes) assuming they stay at 26 episode seasons.

I'd say 3 seasons is all it'll get. That should take us right up until the 4th live action movie. I think Hasbro went ahead and greenlit the third season so the Prime team can prepare to wrap things up.

Hasborh as said Prime will run through the next live action movie, just as it ran through DOTM.

It's on Hasbro's own network and doesn't have to deal with the kind of restrictions that Animated did. It's an entirely different beast.

Yeah, but aren't 3 seasons enough? I know Hasbro owns its own network...but they've gone ahead and confirmed season 3 reaaalllyy early which would indicate some kind of game plan. Plus it'd be good that by the time Prime hits season 3 and the 4th movie came out that they'd have a new project/new aesthetic to put on toy shelves and tv screens.

If the show would be replaced, it would have to be in the same universe.

Hasbro stated that the aligned continuity (family) will be a recurring connection of different Transformers series for the next decade.

    Hey now! G1 had 4 seasons.....kinda.....

I really do hope there will be a Season 3. I was a skeptic mid-Season 1, but Season 2 - especially the last bunch of episodes - have definitely put me on the bandwagon. This show is good and deserves another season, at the very least.

I say this as a big fan of Prime: My Little Pony is better written than Transformers Prime will ever be.

I say this as a sensible man: No, it's not.

I also say it as an intense hater of My Little Pony who has watched the episodes enough to have a legitimate opinion.

Which is the requisite for a good show, and which Prime apparently doesn't have?

    No.

But I don't want to digress from the main topic. Have your opinion and I'll have mine.
