Title says it all, at first i figured it would but i went to 2 walmarts and a meijer and none had it on blu-ray. Both walmarts had the DVD though. Target's website doesnt even have one listed for the blu-ray and best buy's website says "Available online or order in store" So will it be available at retail? Or only online? Thanks for the help guys.

Is there any Hastings' in your town? I think they may have it there. Hastings' sells whatever Wal-Mart or Target doesn't have.

I don't think we do, but isn't hastings' a book store? You think maybe Barnes & Noble may have it? It's listed on their website, but that doesn't mean much apparently lol.

Hastings' also sells dvds, blurays, video games, and comics. If there's not one in your town then check Barnes & Noble.

Most Hastings have tons of DVD's still for rent and purchase, selling the BR sets too, as well as games and even TF toys and shirts.

They also are about the only place I can find a single copy TF comic in my area.
So yeah, they're worth a try.

I see what you mean about the BR just showing shipping to home or store..but if they've had the other DVD sets, I think they'll have this one at retail...depending on store size...sometimes 1 store in an area won't get them but the other larger ones will have them...just have to go hunting.

Wasn't it stated the Blu-Ray would be online release only?

Yes, but that was months ago. Things change, and a lot of the time they never bother to say anything until after it happens.

So there is a chance the bluray is not available at retail?! I missed that memo!

I was planning on picking it up today and watching my favorite episodes... I really hope my Walmart has it.

The Best Buy store told me that the Blu-Ray was online only. It was not on order for the store. Weird.

I've gained a little bit of in-person confirmation today as well (or more like assumption, I suppose, seeing how I didn't actually ask anyone). I checked a Wal-Mart and Target near me, and they both only have the DVD release.

Where did you read this? The transformers facebook page says the blu-ray and dvd are available everywhere today, so thats my only concern Well that and the fact that walmart and best buy both have orders for them on their website. I guess i'll buy the dvd from walmart and order the blu-ray off walmarts website which lists it for 40 and get the free site to store shipping. That way the dvd will hold me over til the blu-ready gets here. But thanks for posting, i don't recall reading that so I must've missed it.

I'm not buying any running production season sets any more. Give me a complete series or a guarantee of all seasons being released, and then we'll talk.

The new EMMY Award winning series TRANSFORMERS PRIME, A Hasbro Studios production, currently airs on The HUB television network in the U.S. and Teletoons in Canada, deepens the epic mythology of both the AUTOBOTS and DECEPTICONS, while starting a new chapter for a new generation of fans.

In early 2011, loyal TRANSFORMERS fans, as well as families and kids, were introduced to this visually stunning five-part miniseries on The HUB. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, AUTOBOT Ratchet, Bulkhead, and many others are back to "roll out" against Megatron's latest attempt to conquer Earth. And Megatron proves to be more powerful than ever, having acquired a rare element that allows him mastery over life itself. OPTIMUS PRIME and the AUTBOTS may be few against the Decepticon hordes, but they find increased strength through bonds forged with three human teenagers.

Season One of TRANSFORMERS PRIME boasts an all-star voice cast, including Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Steve Blum, Jeffrey Combs, Adam Baldwin, Markie Post, Ernie Hudson, among other notables. TRANSFORMERS PRIME is produced by Hasbro Studios, with Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Kline serving as executive producers. Kurtzman and Orci served as writers for the feature films TRANSFORMERS and TRANSFORMERS: Revenge of the Fallen.

TRANSFORMERS PRIME recently garnered two Emmy® Awards for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation and six Emmy nominations.

I don't remember reading that part and looking back at the press release seen on here the highlighted section seems to be missing from the press release. Odd, but if its exclusive to those 2 places why would walmart and best buy have the preorders up? Thanks for clarifying as much as you could, i appreciate the help.

Read closer. The PREORDER was exclusive to those sites, not the product itself. You can order it through Target, Betsbuy, or Walmart. What's bullshit is that is says "Own it March 6th!" when no brick and mortor stores seem to actually have it today.

    UPDATE:

Just found a Barnes & Noble location that has the blu-ray set and FYE music seems to be carrying both sets at most of their locations in-store. Good luck.

Got mine from Amazon today. I'd seen it in HD before, but even so it looks amazing in 1080p.

Why am I waiting so long for my Blu-ray goodness to arrive? I hope the FedEx guy didn't get stranded in traffic....again.
