Doesn't matter to me I have Both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. But from what I have read Transformers will be on the HD-DVD format for 18 moths then it will be on both formats. But personally I believe Blu-Ray will become the winner in this war. Disney is only going with Blu-Ray and announced a month or so ago the Porn industry is going Blu-Ray only. If anyone remembers back with the VHS Beta max wars when Porn went with VHS that signed the deal and VHS won. Also 1. Theres also alot of parents that want to but Disney Movies for there kids so they will get Blu-Ray Players. 2. It may sound bad but The Porn Industry is a heavy hitter on any format war.

Thankfully, my kids aren't in to Disney, cause there's no way i'd buy a blu-ray player.

You have to remember that Disney is not just Cartoons they do alot of other Live action movies as well. Check this list your kids are bound to like one of these films.

Well, the Animated movie is out on Blu-ray in the UK. :D

I'm really hoping to see lots of BR Transformers coming out of Japan in the coming years. I get giddy thinking about the very idea of getting all the Japanese shows in BR HD. Then want to cry even thinking about how much they will charge for them. Like maybe $500 per season. Japan being part of R1 is something I'm really looking to take advantage of in the future. I just hope they have enough sense to include english subtitles to everything.

I've already jumped on the BR bandwagon and have been nothing but happy about it. Blu-ray discs are amazing and my dvds look fantastic. Already I don't know how I could have lived with the old format.

True as that might be, my point still stands. I will not buy anything on Blu-ray.

What happens if/when Blu-ray loses the format war? Mind you, I don't really care who wins - and I'd rather see the damn issue settled and over with.

You see, that's the other thing about I hate about this Hi-Def mumbojumbo, it turns former cinemaphile buddies into elitist assholes.

Like, NEVAR GONNA WATCH SD AGEN. :stick:

Well that explains why I didn't see any Blu-Ray porn titles when I...um...accidentally happened upon this webstore...yeah. :confused2

Dude the porn industry haven't gone exclusive anything. They've given up HD-DVD exclusivity for dual format. Which shows the weakness (market wise) of both rather than the strength of either.

Actually, it pretty much is. :)  I've had extremely bad luck with sony products(and their customer service while trying to get the warranty covered products fixed), and refuse to touch anything they make with a ten foot pole.

Same here, after finding out I can't even region hack the Sony DVD player I got for christmas present one year without some super-expensive programmable remote controller.

Oh yeah, and the stunt they pulled off with Playstation 3's backwards compatibility. They included an inferior circuitry for that, essentially making the emulation software rather than hardware-based for the European version - and they still did the usual one dollar = one euro price conversion!

Aaaaaand there was that BS with forcing some webstore to close down for selling import consoles...

I'm soooo tired of this stupid format war, and the internet flame-war that follows in it's wake. So, I'm not buying a single HD-DVD or Blu-Ray movie 'till the industry settles on one format or the other, I don't really care which to be honest.

I still feel it is way too damn early for either format TBQH. HD is far from being standard..so until then both can go suck a lemon.

    Also, holodisc ftw!
