Just wondering if we'll see the return of old characters like Barricade or Ratchet in Premium toy form? What do you think? Would you want them on shelves again?

 

I personally don't think there will be any straight re-releases of them, but I can see a decent amount of repaint/retools happening. Like the Voyager Prime and Ironhide toys we're getting. I can almost see Ratchet getting a new mold, though a retool of the original is more likely (like Ironhide's toy is getting). Barricade could either get a retool, or an entirely new mold, for all we know. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm hoping that Scorponok gets a Premium-like repaint at some point. I'm sort of regretting not getting him when I had the chance to. It'd be nice to have him to go along with Ravage.

 

eBay and maybe a firesale at HTS or Amazon or TRU will be the closest we get to them now. Hopefully we will get some awesome retools of those previous molds for some filler in the months after the release.

 

Yeah even if we just get a retool I'll be happpy.

Doubt it. They haven't reissued the 2006 classics figures so why would they for the movie figures.

 

Like it was said, we are getting a few of characters returning in the same form, like Voyager Prime and Ironhide. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a Ratchet. I might buy it, never got him the first time.

I don't know about toys like Barricade though, if they aren't returning the same way, I don't see the point. Never know.

The movie toys at my store mysteriously dissapeared so I think theyll be released but more accurately put back on the shelves.

I wouldn't mind if some get repackaged with no differences. It would help me get some of the first movie figures that I missed.

 

Yeah I'm with eveyone here, they'll most likely release them as a redeco/resculpted head with a new weapon.

and Ratchet I think WILL get a new mold otherwise why have we not seen him at all toy wise Legends and FAB aside

 

My guess is that Ratchet will get a release similar to Ironhide's: same mold with a few tweaks, and maybe a color adjustment.

I would expect Movie1 toys that didn't get repaints in the Movie1 line to get repaints in the Movie2 line. Longarm redone as Hoist seems likely. I'd expect Sideways to be repainted into Barricade if Barricade is in the movie.

Bonecrusher, Brawl, and Blackout will not get new toys. Scorponok might, since we know he's in the movie and his Movie1 toy kind of sucked (like Movie1 Starscream).

Movie2 Starscream will get repaints; Thundercracker could be one of them, but I think Thrust and Dirge are more likely since they haven't been done yet.

 

Y'know, Scorponok. Ravage and other "pet" robots as Scouts would be awesome.

I don't think we will at first. Just too much new stuff and retailers all have limits as to how much display space they will give to the figures.

Might see some of the first movie stuff return as repaints after the movie line has slowed down but Hasbro is attempting to milk the last out of the line.

 

I dunno - did you see the Legends Scorponok from the first film? Very nice job. It even beat the Deluxe at having a better robot mode. And Scout is a step up from Legends.

 

Thats all they really need with the new stuff, hopefully the orginals all get a ROTF update
