Hello ,i have a question since Cyclonus and Scourge become Targetmaster in G1 Season 4 Rebirth ,do you think they will betray Galvatron and show loyal to Scorponok in season 4 if the G1 continue from Rebirth, will both of them switch sides and loyalty and stabbing Galvatron at the back since they are Targetmaster ?

I think they will because they are Targetmasters with Nebulons and with new teamates with Misfire ,Triggerhappy and Slugslinger ,what do you think ?

    Thanks.

    *sigh* Here we go again......

Just because they have Targetmasters which are loyal to Scorponok, it doesnt mean that they themselves, the weilders of the Targetmasters would side with Scorponok.

Cyclonus is extremeley loyal to Galvatron for one thing and while Scourge is accountable for a few things, even he probably wouldnt betray Galvatron.

It's more likely their Targetmasters would try to be loyal to Scorponok while they themselves serve Galvatron. Cyclonus is Galvatron's most loyal lieutenant next to Soundwave.

Headmasters and PowerMasters would be more likely to betray the Decepticons. One can always get another gun but another head or power source?

It's a dead issue, because the show ended. If it stayed around, i doubt it, because Galvatron was still being sold in 1987, so everything decision-wise was based on toys being sold. At least they didn't end up like their Japanese counterparts where Scourge and Cyclonus were reduced to bumbling comic relief idiots

Wow guys ... why don't you just kick him in the head while you’re at it. :(

Anyway to answer your question ... hmm ... I guess if Bombshell was still around in that time period, he could always inject Cyclonus and Scourge's targetmaster partners with some type of Cerebro-shell to insure complete loyalty to Galvatron.

the most treachourous thing Cyclonus did was take Galvatron to Web World in one episode, and the fact that Cyclonus stays loyal even after all the beatings......

    no, this wouldn't happen

This, I have always felt Unicron programmed Cyclonus to be entirely loyal to Galvatron, the closest Cyclonus ever went to disloyalty was the disastrous mental health treatments he tricked Galvatron into. That and during the hate plague of course but he get a free pass on that. Scourge wasn't as loyal perhaps Unicron emphasized his ability to work independently as to improve his skill as a tracker, that is only a guess though.

Yeah, Galvatron was still being sold in '87. However, by 1988 Galvatron, Scourge and Cyclonus were discontinued, while Scorponok was still being sold. If the cartoon had continued, Scorponok would have taken over late in season 4, or early season 5.

Cyclonus was loyal to Galvatron beyond the point of rationality. Cyclonus would be loyal to Galvatron till the bitter end, and thus Scorponok would have to eliminate him.

The thing that stopped Scourge from betraying Galvatron was his paralyzing fear of him. I'm sure the Decepticons as a whole would gladly overthrow Galvatron if they weren't so damn scared of him - he was a horrible leader. Scourge knew that if he tried to overthrow Galvatron and failed, the consequences would be dire indeed.

If the G1 cartoon continued, Scorponok \ Zarak would have almost certainly dealt with Galvatron and Cyclonus. Not only is he smart, and a ginormous and extremely powerful robot, he would probably gain the support of the majority of the Decepticons. Galvatron might have been insanely powerful, but he and Cyclonus couldn't beat Scorponok backed by an army of angry Decepticons fed up with his terrible leadership and constant physical abuse.

Much less for a lowly "Nebulan"!
Isn't Scorponok controlled by Lord Zarak?

Hell, Dr Arkeville has a better chance of running Chaar...

Cyclonus and Scourge are some of Galvatron's most loyal soldiers.

If anything, Nightstick and Fracas would turn on their masters before Cyclonus and Scourge would on Galvatron.

No way. Zarak has a lot more common sense than Archeville. And he's way more conniving. And has charisma. And leadership experience. And he controls a giant freaking robotic death machine the size of a city. A mech that could probably beat Galvatron in a fight. You know... by stepping on him.

Megatron and Starscream screwed Archeville over and he was genuinely surprised. Zarak knows better than to trust Galvatron. Galvatron is more likely to underestimate Zarak because he's a little fleshling, similar to how Megatron underestimated Starscream's treacherous ways and let him stay around. If Galvatron knew better, he would squash Zarak when he isn't controlling Scorponok. But the thing is... Galvatron is crazy. He doesn't know better.

However, Cyclonus did not retain Bombshell's penchant for injecting cerebroshells or his personality. But he does have a nifty tractor beam.
